No it doesn't do macro, minimum focus is around 85cm I think.
I also think 85mm is generally too long on a crop, I barely used my 85 on a 1.5x crop, but it's one of my favourite lenses on FF...

Well I've just paid for a 'new' camera body. :o

Let's just say, my 50mm lens will make for a perfect companion on it compared to my 40D...
 
I picked this up at a charity shop for £3 on Tuesday.

Put a new battery and a cheap roll of Superia 400 and it seems to be working a treat!

High quality 35mm f/2.8 glass optics. 'Full frame' in your pocket, mustn't complain. :D

As per Rojin, I've got an EOS 3 - really nice film body, try looking at Ffordes website at www.ffords.com, they've got quite a few EOS bodies from the inexpensive right up to the pro film bodies.

I've also been a bit naughty and bought something with a red line on it and it sure as hell ain't a rev limiter.... hasn't arrived yet though :)

well just had a box turn up from tokyo, dont get to excited its just a couple of bags from a mate as he's had a clean out.

but one is a lowepro slingshot 200AW, not bad for the cost of shipping, and the other ones a more substantial backpack that can hold lots of odds and ends, just need to buy some more kit to go in it now :D
