The "New Gear/Willy Waving" thread

I sold my X100 a while ago, but now the prices have dropped I'm tempted to pick another one up. Prices seemed to have stalled at £350 though...

Ive just bought this head too. Although for bigger hands I find the knobs (hehe) really hard to turn. I think I would have been better getting the 405 which I may still do down the line.

Have quite large hands too, but don't seem to struggle. Main gripe I have is that the knobs don't seem in quite the logical place. I find myself tilting it NH I mean to elevate etc!

GAS strikes again:

Late model judging by the serial, bit of brassing on the bottom plate but that's all cool. I wanted a FM2n since it's lighter (it'll live alongside my Leica/Hexar for wide/tele shots) than my F3HP and last October the batteries in the F3 died in the cold so I was left with a heavy lump of brass in my bag for quite a while. Not as refined or as well built as my F3 or Leica, but that's to be expected.

Nice one BruceLee!

I have my 100mm L back from Onestop. After 3 weeks and the strange correspondence from their customer service department!

Anyway. It's back and was packaged in a plain white box. It looks untouched and the IS gyro is almost silent! My previous sounded like a washing machine spinning up!

Glad to have it back! :)

I want a canon AF version of that. Seriously. Zeiss, expand. Make some canon lenses with AF. Please.

kd

I guess when Zeiss spilt with Kyocera they weren't allowed to use the AF part of the lenses they jointly developed for Contax, hence manual only...
It can be achieved now...... The Contax version of the Zeiss lenses I use now can have the mount replaced with a Canon one. So AF Zeiss on Canon is possible. :D

Well, now that I have got my wide angle 12-24mm, I feel my system is "complete" until Samsung release a larger zoom and high quality short zoom.

Considering when I was looking at camera earlier this year, and though the £400 for an FZ200 was high, this has now cost somewhere in the region of £2000...

They really do make some nice lenses though :)

Edit: please excuse the rubbish photo quality :)
