Oh hello mr Nikon AF-S 70-200mm F4G VR

Bought it brand new (uk model) as I felt that the weight of the 2.8 would kill my arm, plus the F4 has better image quality than the mk 1 VR F2.8 (which was designed for DX, not FX...)

Going to york tomorrow for a day out so it'll hopefully get a trial by fire on my D600.

Picked up a Haida ND filter for around £45 a week back, but haven't had a chance to test it.

Quick test in the garden:

Looks to be a very decent for the price!

Re canon cash back they send a notification on 28 days saying that the cheque will be posted and arrive within 14 days ( typically lands about 4 days later.)

I'm have had 2 cheques land in the last 3 weeks with the last one on its way

Just bought a used D90 + 18-105 all boxed etc for my daughter, to replace the failing (?) D70....
Have to say I'm quite liking it...... will have to compare to my 5D Mk1

...... (I was original Nikon as I had F80 film then the D70 before turning to the 5D)

Wanted the 8-16 but thought it was a little pricey, so purchased the 10-20. Next day managed to get the 8-16 £40 cheaper then i paid for the 10-20 so thats going back! Plus it has some soft issues.

Flash is great!
