The "New Gear/Willy Waving" thread

What sort of size of collection of gear do people have on here? Raymond posted quite a few lenses earlier, is that the extreme end or not?

Like Ray I think most people have £20000+ worth of kit
My gear consists of a Sony a57, 18-55 kit lens, sony 16-50 2.8, sony 75-300, sony 35mm 1.8, minolta 50mm 1.7, sony flash and a jessops flash.

Well I'm into 2 systems but primarily shoot Sony.
I have an A77 + A580, 11-16mm f2.8, 16-50mm f2.8, 35mm f1.8, 50mm f1.8, 85mm f2.8, 135mm f2.8, 70-200mm f2.8, 50mm f2.8 1:1 Macro, 2 Sony flashes and a Metz.

I never use the 70-200 as it's too bloody heavy and I just use the 135mm instead, I'll be getting shut of it soon hopefully and replace it with a decent 300-400mm lens.

I also have a D7000 with 3 lenses which I never use and but is acting as a backup for a friend who does wedding photography currently.

Ray & An Exception have an astonishing collection of equipment due to their professional requirements and them needing (& wanting no doubt) the absolute best tools to apply their trade.

This was my lens collection between 2004-2007.
I entered into the Wedding photography business but found I didn't have the spare capacity to hold down a full time job and the hours required to complete wedding sets and develop the business.

I sold everything except the 17-40 and bought a Canon 135L which I use today.

Me to! :D

...

How are you finding the viewfinder of the xt1?

Nice :D

The EVF isn't too bad, the refresh rate is improved in low light. There is still some blurring if moving quickly. I haven't shot a lot in low light yet though. There is EVF blackout that I find annoying when panning, but it's not too bad in normal shooting. I actually quite like the flip screen and have been using that a lot. ISO 200 + 1/4000 + f1.4 means I need to pick up some ND filters, still looking into which ones are decent...

Nikon D800, D90 and kind of D7000 (wife's)
Nikon 24-70, 70-200VR1, 35mm f/18DX, 50mm f/18, 85mm f/1.8, 300mm f/4.0, 1.4xTC
16-85, 70-300.
Sigma 10-20.

Looking to add Nikon 14-24, sigma 35mm f1.4 and hopefully a 500mm f/4.9 but might go a sigma 120-300f/2.8 as an interim.
