guys I just placed an order for a macbook, it told me my order failed then I got an automated phone call from my bank, to confirm I just spent 1149 which I did.

the apple site has taken me back to the confirm page....

wondering if I confirm I will get a second one?

A thank you! :)

But I'm away from the 23rd until the 4th! - I'll have to try and forget about it :p

Interesting, some nice changes round the edges but they're not (graphics aside) any faster and they are a lot more money. I'm also a bit annoyed they removed firewire from the macbook entirely, there goes my external DVD writer, hard drive and speakers if I buy a macbook...

I actually think I might wait for the next revision and some faster processors if I'm going to spend that kind of cash...

Cant find any good stats for 9400M BeatMaster :(

I really cant decide if I will miss going from 15" to 13" or not. Any work I do I use my 24" Dell, its just will I miss the extra 2" as a 2nd monitor and when Im at my girlfriends :/

Also, I like the 24" LED Monitor, particularly including a magsafe connector, thats a nice touch. But the price is cue for much spluttering, I could buy the (probably) far superior HP 24" and a spare power supply for far less.

Also, I've actually just looked and I could book a return flight to new york and return with a macbook (assuming no VAT at customs obviously) for less than it costs to buy one in this country...

Also the new monitors are useless unless you own a new macbook or macbookpro. I don;t know any machines off the top of my head (Windows based or Apple) that use this new connector. Even if it is an open standard, seems kind off proprietry when only 4 items on the market use it! I like the sound of it apart from that and it seems OK price on HE but with my Macbookpro ("current" gen) it won't work :(

Edit: Just noticed they are selling adaptors to DVI & VGA

Lovely laptop, but I don't need that much computer, and certainly don't want to spend three times as much as I need to.

What do I need? A browser and a word processor.

Looks like and eeePC1000 for me.

I love how people criticize the prices, say they'll never buy another Apple product again and in the very next sentence say "Im still getting one LOL". Sad, sad, sad.

Ridiculous prices, you'd get an equivalent non-Apple laptop for 50% of the cost. Part of me is curious as to just how much more expensive Apple could make these things before people actually refuse to buy them, I reckon they couldve made the Macbooks £2k+ and the sheep would still buy them.

Looks like a $900 MB White for me! :D

Most likely anywho, personally I prefer the white look but I do like the LED lit screen, not fussed about the GPU upgrade really but would have been nice, but not £200 extra-nice.

There will be adaptors, you can run DVI off the mini-displayport with a reasonably simply adaptor so the reverse is very likely true.
