*** The new MacBook/MacBook Pro thread, all info in here ***

You'd be foolish to think they just unbox a standard spec laptop and manually replace the hard drive. If your laptop deviates at all from the standard spec, it is built to order straight from the factory in Asia. Not to mention, they're largely sold out of the new laptops everywhere.

If it bothers you so much, cancel the order and get a custom built laptop from Dell - they take < 4 days :)

I'd edit out that swear word if I were you, unless you're aiming for a vacation from the forums.

Your order was shipped on 26.10.2008

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 31 Oct 2008 (Subject to change)

Was originally 6-7th November.

:D

Prepared for Shipment
Estimated Shipping: 7 business days
Estimated Delivery: 06 Nov, 2008 - 07 Nov, 2008

Damn you "shipped" guys are lucky :(

My 2.53 MBP is still "Not yet shipped" with an estimate on 6-7 November :(

Out of interest when did those with shipped orders actually order?
Mine too (BTO 2.53 MBP).

I ordered on October 20th, a friend who ordered about 20 mins after me has had his (BTO Macbook) shipped today. :(

Bit of a dumb question maybe but will we be paying interest on our credit cards while our payments are on hold?
No, it will just affect your available balance. For example, if you had £2000 available and they put a hold on £1000, you will only have £1000 available to you.

Only when the transaction is completed (and logged on your account) will you start being charged interest.
