Anyone come accross the problem of not being able to receive picture messages larger than 25Kb on the O2 network (giffgaff, O2, Tesco etc..)?

Mine works ok on Giffgaff I think I downloaded a settings app from the marketplace if I remember after that everything worked fine....

Now I have turned off wifi until needed and disabled a few apps I don't need running mine lasts quite a bit longer. Its still not great but better than it was.

By battery is great unless im hammering angry birds (but that will kill off any phone). Using 2.1 de-orangated rom. Lasting me 3-5 days depending on how heavy the use is.

Just plug it in whilst you sleep. As long as it lasts whilst you are awake is it really a problem. It is after all a £90 phone, compromises would have been made to sell it for this price and I imagine battery life was the first tbh.

Since the phone is turning out to be so popular, the chance of an after market, higher capacity battery is fairly high.
But;
if you are runnign a kernel that supports overclocking, then you can get a nice extension to your standby/used life if you use setcpu profiles and run 122Mhz (half original) when idle.
Mine is set 122/500 for normal tasks and over 748 for running games.

I just turn off the 3g, data access and wifi and it seems to last quite a while, it only takes a matter of seconds to turn them on again when needed.

Hey, on the orange rom? There was a nice thing where you could easily turn on and off wifi etc just by clicking on it from the homescreen, how can I get this back? I put jellyfish 2.2 on it

long press on screen , select widgets and power control bar.

Anyone had success in the resetting battery stats to improve life?

Maybe we should form a benchmark to see if our batteries are below par? Fully charge it then open angry birds and leave it on title screen for 5 minutes, quit out and check percentage?
