The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

Anyone got this unlocked on Three?

It works, but was wondering how you get the Planet3 stuff to work. I use to top-up my phone from the web browser on Planet3, but it doesn't seem to want to work even with the APN settings.

Mines working fine with planet 3. Go to the market and download the three app, with is really just a planet 3 shortcut for android.

Or go to the 3 website homepage on the browser and you can log into my3 from there and top up that way.

Changing gears here ..but gotta say ..the speaker on this sounds loads better than the one on my htc desire!
 
I got this phone for my daughter, and for the money, it really is a fantastic device, however if your used to say a Desire, this phone even when rooted , is not half as smooth,responsive or zippy. I guess for quarter of the price is was never going to be. I was happy that as a mp3 playback device via headphones, it was good, via mixzing, and the EQ set. The screens surface was a little odd coming from a desire, it isnt as polished, and i found i had to leave the screen on 60% brightness, as on auto, it seemed a little dull. The 3.5 display itself, and how well it responds is also very good, even if my fingers found it harder to swipe across the surface. All these points ive made are a comparison, and for the £99 the phone cost, i dont think there is a device, that can compete with it.
 
My misses needs a new phone and its her Birthday next week. What do you guys who have the phone think of it? She wanted an iphone but after she killed my ipod touch she refuses to have one in case she breaks it. For the price it looks like a great phone.

Only if I have a message alert.


Otherwise I have to press the power button to wake the phone.

Mine's definitely a little weird then. If it's plugged in charging the home key takes me to the lock screen and the notification light works, otherwise they don't.

But also strangely, if I cycle my data connection I can sleep the phone with the power button then wake it with the home button. At least for a little while, if I leave it to sleep longer than 10 seconds then the home button will not wake it.

Might re-flash the ROM tonight see if that solves it.

I've just noticed that I can wake mine with the back button when it's charging.

That's reassuring, I'll do a factory reset and re-flash tonight and see if that gets it working correctly. May even flash the Orange ROM to see if it works there or not.

Have you tried taking the screen protector off?
 
Any one having a problem in Account & Sync where by when you click on facebook it just takes you back to the menu?

I did see other people saying the same thing regarding other Android phones.

I got the same with Modaco's custom rom. Facebook images did sync though when I installed the Facebook app (or at least I think that is what happened).
