Well I have gotten over it :D. CM7's Render Effects really make it look acceptable. :)

I phoned them twice, once from mum's orange mobile and the other from landline, both said £109.99 :(

I asked about a discount for existing customers, he said no.

Grrr, how do you get a discount???
 
Just called again, got the same guy that said at the end, you just called 20 minutes ago about this so what make you think it will change.

Well **** off then, you've just lost a customer mate :p

He said I was illegible, I asked why he just said because I am. :rolleyes:

Poor customer service IMHO.

I was disappointing with orange as they don't offer discounts to current customers , But I was told they offer discounts to civil servants/government employees.

My wifes phone has odd behavior at times. It'll go through 30% battery while we're asleep, and the task killer shows that stuff like gmail, bbc news and maps is running. Which is odd as all she uses is facebook. :confused:
 
My father has just had two of these phones, and both were faulty on arrival. (can't remember why d'oh).

At least I should get a chance to have a play with one tonight if his replacement has turned up yet.

EDIT: Just seen there are different screen version :-( Are they new versions all TFT screens?

I bought one off ebay (£77.50) and was a little disappointed with useability until I rooted it and put a 2.2 rom (SSrls5) on it last night, now it flies. Orange is a virus :) but very nice phone.

Added, I did transfer my number to orange and they are currently giving £30 of free top up over three months if you top up at £10pm as well for the transfer. So £60 for £30 I may then go back to Vodaphone or elsewhere after using up the credit.

Well I think I've found a problem with mine, I barely get a days battery life out of it even with light use, I got a new battery from Orange but still no change but I think the phone isn't sleeping, sometimes I'll come back to it and hit the bottom face button/s and it comes back on, also when I check the battery info the Android System info is up @ 98/99% even when I've not been using it, not sure how to fix it tbh, I'm running the original rom, anyone else had this problem?

Yes.

If you own an OLED phone, you will notice a difference, it will seem like a "downgrade". But you will get used to it, it's nothing major, and if you've never used OLED before you have nothing to worry about.

Think if you sign out of Latitude stops it running

If you open Latitude click Menu button, Settings and scroll down to bottom and the option is there

Picking one of these up today for just a smidge over 70 notes... think it will be the perfect backup phone until the Samsung note arrives. :)
 
Hi guys,

Got my San Fran now and have a really urgent question... how the chuff do I boot into recovery mode? I am trying to press Home and VOlume + buttons on powerup but its just running through to the boot scrreen and then SIM PIN entry screen. Im doing the "all in one" upgrade from Gen 1 to Gen2 with ROM and just need to boot into recovery to start the flashing prpocess. Been trying this for an hour now, itsdoing my nut in! :(
