The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

Never tried an Android phone so I bought one of these yesterday

Rooted-flashed-unlocked, now If I can get it to sync directly with Outlook I'll be retiring my HD2 :D
 
Right, silicon case wise if you just want something to keep it covered, the Samsung Monte fits very well. It stretches over it really well giving you full screen space which is due to it being a smaller case since the monte is quite a bit smaller in length and screen size, although similar in width. With a tiny bit of trimming for the screen, mic, camera etc it is almost bang on and much better than some of the other attempts. It actually looks half decent from a little bit away.

The Monte screen protectors also fit.

ok, ok reality check, so its not the prettiest but it will keep it protected until the offical ones ship from China. I had a spare case and protector from when I bought my wife the Monte for her birthday in July. Hadn't thought to test it until now.

Maybe a mod could rename the title to official San Francisco discussion thread or something?

On another note just downloaded the repacked HTE MOD keyboard, not that i am using the phone, but i can stand having to swap between alpha and numeric mid text etc, hopefully she will find it easier too

What I mean is, is your Outlook a standalone app or do you use the Exchange connectivity / corportate email stuff.

I had the choice on the listing to go for black or green, fancied a splash of colour. Besides, don't spend a huge amount of time looking at the back. :D
 
OK, help: I have just bought one of thease phones and before I say anything else, I am 65, like the idea of this phone, but need a guide on how to get the best out of it! Flash the rom, what if it goes wrong? I need an idiots guide, first to last on how what and why, someone can make an old man very happy. Thanks in anticipation.
