The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

I bought this phone when it first came out and my partner has been using it. I put r4 it and got it unlocked...It seems now that every time I pick it up it's slow and unresponsive and the battery is no where as good as my wildfire. I'm not sure if it's the phone or not but using google latitude the location is always way way off.
 
Are you running launcher pro with a live wallpaper? When I do it slows down a lot. Battery life for me has really improved. After an hour or more of angry birds I went from 60% to 40%. My GPS is the best I've ever seen picks up 12-13 satellites in about 4 seconds and is pretty much pin point with my position. Try turning off A-GPS.

How is A-GPS turned off?
 
Assist-GPS uses about 1kb of data every time it starts up the GPS chip which has a lot more benefit than waiting for the GPS to acquire lock through the usual manual method. Honestly, never turn it off unless there is some over-riding bug with it.
 
Ive had lots of issues with my daughters Francisco, and got neck ache about others becoming very un-responsive. I do hope a new rom will sort the problems out....because with stock, its becoming unusable half the time. Not happy :(
 
Well as this phone seems to have a decent following i thought i'd buy one for something to mod.
Whats the best ROm for it? Does it have stock 2.2 yet? where the best forums for it?

Sorry for noob questions but i dont have time this week to read the 33 pages of this thread and it arrives tomorrow morning :)
