Is this the issue where the touch controller dies? I've only had this happen myself once and I'm waiting for it to happen again so I can attempt to find the root cause and fix it.
 
Mine should be delivered tomorrow snow permitting. My current phone is a Motorolla Razer V3 and has served me well for years. Looking forward to something a bit more gadgety..

Delivery was supposed to be afternoon between 1 and 5.
Woke up early at 9 by chance.
Half nine, doorbell, guy said he was just round the corner, and knew he was booked for the afternoon but would take a chance earlier as well.
Awesome service.
Just the body replaced, though I'd get a complete boxed phone as others have said, but no loss!

The supplied headset is rubbish, best to buy yourself some decent headsets when getting this phone. Other media players are available on the market either paid or free (for example, WinAmp).

The ebay links in this thread for a few pounds are a good bet to start with. Mine arrived within a few hours when bought at the weekend.

Can do more with the phone you own, lots of apps available, supported by Google so plenty of services available.

I upgraded from the Nokia 5530 and the difference was amazing. The lack of decent apps and games on the Nokia annoyed me and the performance/features of the San Francisco really makes it worthwhile as a first-step into "smartphones".

Plenty of screen protectors available on various mobile sites as it's a very popular phone.

Anyone else find that the silent / vibration mode is a bit to discreet?

I like to operate my phone with strict noise discipline but the vibrate on the phone just seems to weak to even register most of the time.

Anyone know if there is an app or something which can make the vibrate mode a little stronger/obvious?

Podmonkey mine was also due for delivery today, i havent got a DPD code but was supposed to have one with the email they sent. I have now sent an email to orange enquiring where it is and for the tracking number, i did originally ring them up but i was waiting for 10 minutes, got impatient sent an email instead.

Fingers crossed it will be here tomorrow.

I dont hold out much hope. Looking on dpd's website it showed post codes in cities where they are having problems, all of sheffield was listed and the snow is only getting worse :( hope you have more luck than me, cant wait to get my hands on this phone.
 
For the money this phone is superb i never knew you could do so much on a phone. Really liking the phone and the screen is superb very clear and bright. So far a very good purchase for me...
 
Quick question i have set up yahoo mail which i downloaded from the android market place. Is there anyway to stop the phone notifying me every time i get an email..? I dont mind texts but emails it goes mental.. Sorry if this is a noob question but i cant find where to do it...

Go into email, then account settings and turn off autosync (works on gmail so.....)

I was told it would be here today because they delayed a lot of deliveries due to the snow, gave them my order number they said it couldn't be reconginised however :eek:

I'm waiting today, i doubt it'd be here today either although nothing on dpd website suggests it can't be delivered.
