The new Samsung Odyssey G9 Mini Led

When can this be ordered?

Not certain, the time frame that is currently flying around across the globe is September. Also agree with Core09 particularly when we know how they did with the rollout of their 2020 panel. So new 2021 panel I'm very skeptical about buying right out, would wait till the kinks are worked out.

Might be worth holding out longer as I feel like there will be more miniLED monitors coming out, the G9 is just the first.

I really wanted the G9 for the 240hz and miniled but the price and potential bugs have thrown me off

There are more mini leds panels coming out this year, some with 2000 dimming zones but from when panels come out, it’s normally another year before you see monitors so second half of next year should offer more choice

Hopefully by time the mini led monitors are mainstream, they'll be smaller oleds which should lower the prices a bit. I think next year should be a good year for monitors.

They also have the new 28" IPS Flat 4k 144hz HDR400 on their site (not my cup of tea and doubt they got a grip with their QA from G7 launch).

Samsung will be launching it on 29th for order, release date on 7 August.

I was looking at what other mini led monitors there are, and found the perfect one.. gaming 1440p and mini led made by AoC, but they are only selling in china :(.

I had the G9 and there were too many issues for my liking.. flickering (that wasn't solved with the latest FW), popping from the chassis.. i couldn't imagine spending £2k+ and having these same issues. And it's a pain to send away for repair given the sheer size of it.

What planet are you living on? We all know $2500 will equate to £2500.:p

The $1399 G9 came out at £1279 here (before everywhere in the US and here started discounting them. So perhaps I am being too mean, maybe £2200 to £2300 here?

£2,249 me thinks.

I wonder if it'll be £1500 by black Friday.
