The New Stargate Universe Thread

Really enjoyed last nights episode. They're quite obviously setting the Colonel up for a mental breakdown of some sort so Indian guy or possibly Lesbian will take over. Still no mention of miraculous healing girls miraculous healing even though such information could possibly have been used to heal Soldier Extra #2. Wonder if Rush's new found ability to control Destiny will result in him being forced to turn the ship around. How convenient for the seeder ship to show up when the Destiny's shuttle supply has become depleted, no doubt they'll find some more now to destroy.

On the whole I think the series has got a lot better, one of my only gripes is how they always fit the dawson creek music in towards the end, it really feels out of place. If they did that in the original SG-1 series I don't think I would have liked it as much, just seems really out of place.

I think its gone meh again.... Look at the epicness that they can do/have then look at the crap that you watch and you just think what? what? err what? each time.

Rush is superb, that chrcter is just brilliant. The Lucian alliance "square head" guy is interesting but everyone else is really boring me sensless.

Im not going to stop watchign it but it isnt living up to its potential yet, im sure it will/hope it will.

sums it up for me tbh.

I'm enjoying it, but i keep thinking. Was that it? Surely they could have done more? Is it the end of the episode already?

I hope it doesn't do a Lost and fails to take advantage of its story/mythology. It almost seems to be focused on the characters 'to much' at the expense of the underlying story/mythology. I hope to be proven wrong in the rest of the season though.

Absolutely agree, I just keep waiting for it to kick off properly.

They're building up to something but it doesn't hold the interest of viewers if it's going to take half the season or more - particularly poignant given they're basing the 3rd season renewal decision on the performance of the first 10 eps!
