Well im sure she wasnt born there she already has one burden too many.
total tripe it was, they could have perhaps saved it by having him mutate into some bonkers alien that ran amok on the ship for a few days or something, but no, we get an hour of dawsons creek mixed with happy days with the whole thing being wrapped up nicely in the last minute of the show.

Too true, Eli is probably the only one on Destiny who doesn't have herpes or similar

I'll be pretty amazed if it gets a third season tbh at this rate. Four episodes to go that will actually make or break that decision. Shame really.
Edit: 967,000 for Live + Same Day ratings is a new record low for the franchise as a whole. Not good at all

Just watched the latest episode and it isn't getting better unsuprisingly.
It has non of the standard scifi action or story but also lacks any kind of characters or emotions/script that made BSG stand out.
Really sad to see the Stargate franchise go this way but perhaps it is best to kill it and pretend it didn't happen.

Man this here is the very problem of SGU
If i didn't know better you are describing an episode of EastEnders or Coronation street, Not a franchise that has consistently produced good watch-able 1h slots of fun action comical sci fi for years and years.
i don't know why BSG was so popular, personally. I found it bloody drawn out and boring only a few episodes and sub plots were really good.
Now its been emulated in the SGU and it just doesn't work its boring as hell.
I moan every bloody episode lol, ill moan when its pulled off too.

It was elections night last night so they expected it to be really low anyway (hopefully they'll take that into consideration)

The move to Tuesday airings in the US hasn't been a good one on the whole to be honest - they've got far more competition from the big guns that night and yea things like the elections / sports events seem to occur then!
