Was there a reason Ely couldn't live on the shuttle and use the space suits to enter the ship to do repairs etc.

Personally I'd have just turned off some of the pods and blamed it on theose pesky aliens!

Iirc that was one of the ideas Mallozzi elaborated on, Eli would use the Shuttle to somehow extend the power reserve on Destiny, and would live in the Shuttle and adjoining area for three years.

I like that idea about storing himself in the Stargate. Although, it sounds awfully familiar to the episode 'Relics' from TNG, where they find Montgomery Scott from the original Trek, who has managed to survive by storing himself in the transporter buffer for 75 years. It would have been a good callback to SG-1's '48 Hours' for fans though.

Have started watching SG1 again on Sky and it has made me want to get the boxset - saw it for £70 the other day, but not sure I have time to watch them all!

Its like 24, I must have watched like 7 seasons on a 2 week holiday.... I belived I was a ticking bomb towards the end !

Im up to season 8, been watchign nothing but SG-1 whenever I can for the past few weeks! It really goes downhill after 7. Just seemed rushed.
