You know what? This Gordon transfer is really starting to grow on me.

Obviously not my first choice but we have been quoted 80m+ for other targets it will do for now :)

Nearly every single transfer we have done was smirked at.

Seems to have got peoples noses up.

Scene's if we manage to pull off Madders in this window lol

I've said it multiple times already, don't like the Gordon transfer. We will just have to hope in the fact he was playing in a Everton team that created next to nothing and the fact Eddie has transformed some of our players from what they were under Bruce. Playing under Bruce was exactly how that Everton team play now, so there is hope. I really hope Eddie gets the diving out his game though.

He has lot of improving to do that's for sure buts his numbers are not bad for a team sitting joint bottom of the league that play low block.

Miggy is probably playing at his peak atm (I wish he wasn't afraid of his right foot lol) and Gordon is better than the rest. A lot better.

We switched this season from being reliant on Maxi and Wilson to letting the system do the work.

Gordon suits that system and instantly improves our sqaud.

He be switching from a low block to a team that is aggressive at defending from the front.

If you don't like supporters of other clubs discussing topics relating to Newcastle then you're probably better off sticking to Newcastle forums.
 
Since Gordon is completed this improves our squad options.

Believe I said we needed a flexible forward and we got one.

Gordon can cover both flanks and play as a 10.

Wilson is our 9

Isak can play across the front 3 and a little deeper. (Gordon takes a little bit of pressure off him until he's back to full fitness he's a complete game changer already)

Maxi and Miggy are pretty limited to their wide roles.

J7 been covering the left for Maxi but then drops back into the middle 3 in game and Wilock goes out on the left.

This transfer gives us a lot of breathing room up front and frees up J7 to drop back to an 8.

It's going to be an interesting summer.

Bruno has expressed his feelings more than once that he wants to move forward so he can impact the game more.

Don't want to count my chickens before they hatch but there's a very good chance we will be playing European football next season. Be it on a Tuesday/Wednesday or on a Thursday.

Would love to see a 6 come in and Madders.

Ashby is incoming be it this window or the summer to help out Tripper.

Would love to see a young CB signed.
 
Still need another world class CM along side Bruno. We won;t be able to move forward without one. We limp along when he's not there and it will be emphasised even further if we are playing in Europe.

Yup but depending on which European competition we end up in will probably determine the shortlist.

Would much prefer him to be a 6 to free up Bruno.

Longstaff on rotation and Wilock used as a high energy impact sub.

Yeah, you only have to look at what Casemiro has done for United's team this season. He's been transformational for them. Hope we can find somethign similar to what Brighton found with Caicedo.

Casemiro has been their Trippier.

Experience, Leadership, organisation as well as chipping in with goals and assists.

Problem we have atm is we are dominating most teams but finding it hard to unlock the final ball or a better finish. (Since Christmas)

Madders solves that Problem also but leaves Bruno with a bit more defensive work to perform. (He can play out on the right also?)

Maxi showed better form when he came on last Tuesday also.

Can't wait to see Isak fully fit myself.

The problem with maxi is when he loses the ball he spends the next 5 mins on the deck whinging he didn’t get a free kick (which is why I think Eddie doesn’t really trust him), which then leaves a big hole down our left hand side, it’s a good job we have big jo on the left of midfield when maxi comes on.
 
Seems we are sticking to our plan instead of going for it.

Won't be forced into biding war and pay what we see as fair market value.

If we miss out on Maddison (City rumours)in the summer then I would love to see us go for number 6 with a wee bit more defensive discipline than Bruno.

More than happy to have my boy Longstaff on rotation and Wilock as an impact sub.

Summer needs
DM (Starter)
CB (young) to deputise for Schar.
Flexible forward again but more in the CAM/CF/Striker position.

We also have to send Anderson out on loan next season. No excuses our lack of sqaud depth has stunted his growth this season.

The only untouchable in the sqaud from the Bruce era is Joelinton. Schar also impressive. The rest I wouldn't be surprised if a decent offer came in them we would be open for business.
