****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

Arcade cab of course

And to all those who think SSFIV will suck on 3DS well then you obviously never used to play Street fighter II on the snes :D, I think the controls are more than adequate enough for a bit of Street fighter 4 fun.

Fail.

SFII on the SNES never needed you to do FADC combo's, press lp+lk for throws, or mp+mk for focus/cancels, or 3p/3k for Ultras. The 3DS really suffers from pretty poor controls on poor analogue controls (never good) or a tiny badly placed DPad... so you're crippled on all fronts.

Why have they devoted the entire bottom half of the screen for Supers then?

It seems to me they know the limitations of the console and they've adapted for it. You don't need to do cancels or combo's, it's just some street fighter fun.

Oh of course, if you're just going to spin the pad in a circle and mash buttons/the touch screen for a laugh then it will be fine.

Don't pretend the controls will be even half decent though.

Why is the video of their Japanese review though?

Dunno, just checked the Japanese review and that video is the same (although they have added an Augmented Reality video for the USA review). I guess the hardware and most of the games are pretty much the same as the Japanese review.

Both reviews seem similar and have the same score, maybe they were expecting differences in the USA version which did not materialise?

I don't expect that great controls for a game that was soley developed for arcade setups but I sometimes just like having a mash without thinking extensively, just to get my street fighter fix.

No need to tempt some sort of console war, I think he is talking specifically about Street Fighter, not the console in general.

Yeah I was :)

I know this is a 3DS thread but I am thinking about picking up Street Fighter 4 for PS3. I'm looking on wiki now but only have my phone for Internet for the next few days. But what is the main differences between StreetFighter4 & SuperStreetFighter4? For PS3 if that matters?

I know Super as some more characters in it, and I think areas too, but somebody else will probably know every single thing thats different

It's basically more characters/settings/modes with added changes and tweaks to the characters, even though they're minor tweaks it's essentially a different game.

I'd get Super SFIV as I don't think SFIV is played that much.

Kreeeeee is the man to ask.

Interesting video that (AR on Endgadget), I can see it amusing me for a little while. Not for long, but my house is kinda all over the place so I'll be interested to see what it can do with it!

I wonder if my tesco order will get here for release day...

I was watching a video the other day that said that the amount of pre-orders for the system compared to the amount being imported was less so essentially their should be enough it just depends on how many which stores are getting how many.

Well it's Tesco entertainmant, so they should have a huge number ordered.

With a lot of people here saying that they are going to cancel their preorder I think there will be enough to go round. I don't see this thing selling out and being off the shelves for months on end. Do you?

I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere in the thread, but didn't see it in the last few pages: what's the score with region locking? I read somewhere that the 3DS is region locked, which is a real shame (especially as I'm going to New York next month). If it has region locking, is this extended to DS carts as well?

Nintendo have developed a habit of understocking for release (i.e. the shambles that was the Wii launch) so I expect queues, shortages and tears of frustrated fans.
