****The Nintendo 3DS Thread****

I just had a random thought while watching the engadget review.

Will it be possible to damage the parallax barrier on the top screen if you are too aggressive cleaning it?

I haven't seen the device itself yet but if someone thumbprints my DS Lite I do have a habit of getting any excess dirt and marks off every now and then. :o

(Soak it in Pledge polish and scrub) :D

Just checked my Tesco order £207 for console and SF43D. My order says 'Awaiting Dispatch'. I was about to cancel my order but can't seem to do so anymore, there is no 'Cancel' button. No funds have been taken from my card. Is this the same for anyone else?

I would just clean it with a soft cloth, definitely not a wet rag or something with polish on it, I don't tend to touch screens with my fingers unless I absolutely have to such as with an iPod Touch or something. I guess there will be details on cleaning and what is safe and not safe to do in the manual, I hear the manual is quite thick.

Which colour did you go for K?

Black, and I have a copy of Ridge racer sat here with me right now...

edit: I can't cancel my Tesco pre order, So I'm going to end up with:

Black 3DS, Monkey ball, Ridge Racer, Rayman. For ~£214. Still need a case though.

Not sure if the offer is still on, but for £188 with any game, yes.

Is this the £197 + any game for £10 offer? If so it is is still advertised on their website. (I assume to get it for the £188 you mentioned you use some sort of cashback site or cashback credit card?).

Still umming and ahhing as to whetehr to pick one up or not!!! Might just come down to an impulse purchase at the supermarket on Friday (stock permitting!)

9% Quidco, 8.08% Topcashback.

If you're not sure, just wait until a game you want comes out. I've ended up getting 3 average games as there is nothing great at launch bar SSFIV if you've never played it before.

Cool, I have quidco membership so will bear that in mind. Might just get the 3DS with 1 game (like you say the release games are average) and maybe pick up a DS game or 2, as I have not had a DS for a long time so have plenty of games I have missed or meant to try out, whilst I wait for a 3D game I want badly.

The deal is £197 for console + £10 for any game from selection so you pay £207 cash upfront. Knock of 9% (Quidco) and you get £188.37, after cashback. Unless I am mistaken that is how it is calculated.

How do you get 9% quidco? It says 6% on the site? (Ive never used quidco so this will be my first time using the site).

There is a money £10 money off code you can use for purchases over £50.
So £197 - £10 = 187.
Then you get £10 voucher game taking it up to £197 again.
Then the quidco of 6% which would equate to another tenner I guess? So that actually would come to £187ish with a game?

Make an account, search tesco, once you're on the tesco page click get cashback which wil direct you to tesco's main site.

Follow all links to tesco entertainment, and do what you normal do including using the code to pre order.

Once you have ordered the website will just track the transaction autmatically.

Though £5 will get deducted for a year membership if you haven't got one already.

Edit - Make sure you order on Tesco Entertainmant where the 9% is active, order on a different part of Tesco's website and you'll get less cashback.
