The **Now Drinking** Thread

Bad Co American IPA 330ml cans.

Picked up a couple of these to try tonight (singles not boxes :p). I've not had them before. First impressions are good.

"Brewed exclusively for Asda" and £1.25 a can so I wasn't expecting much but I'm pleasantly surprised.

"Hops: Summit, Columbus, Centennial" - you can actually taste them!

Looks like a load of pretentious faff to me, but then I have a corner sofa, so I may not be qualified to comment upon the finer, more sophisticated things in life.

There is no question there is an element of that but you have also got to remember where it is. One of the world's most expensive real estate places at the world's highest bar that is the Ritz Carlton. It was very posh but also in a way, very casual. The elevator up, you go from ground floor up to like 101st floor (it does not stop in between), then then take a 2nd elevator up to the 118th floor, which the concierge will limit the people going up to the party, so we went up by ourselves, small touches like that. Upon arrival, even without reservation you get a quick tour of the bar.

Life is about experiences, would I go back in a hurry for another one? Probably not. Am I glad I did it, absolutely.

I miss drinking coffee and can't have more than 1 cup per month but I'm now enjoying my first coffee made with milk and no water and a small amount of cinnamon. :)

King Goblin.

Not my usual tipple but the stormy British winter evenings gave me the urge for a strong, dark, malty ale for a change and that's all they had that fitted the bill at the supermarket.

Warm mulled wine with amaretto at the Christmas Market in George Square. Not bad, but don't think I would get it again.
