I just cooked-up a quick Thai inspired prawn curry which was surprisingly good. No picture but I thought I'd list the ingredients before I forget them.
Prawns (I used frozen)
1 red pepper
1 very large Inferno Chilli
2 cloves garlic
Thumb sized piece of galangal, grated
2 kaffir lime leaves
Rind of 1 lemon
Juice of half a lemon
Tblsp ground corriander
Tblsp fish sauce
Served with rice.
Sorry, without a pic, no one believes you.
I can live with that.
nearly washed past me ... but anyone cooking with sprouts has good credentials ... .. albeit frozen prawns might have toured Thailand.
Thanks. The sprouts were lovely. Yes, the prawns weren't ideal but they'd been in the freezer a while and needed using up.
Payday and I didn't have anything decent in the house for eating, so I decided to get a Dominos for dinner. Their doing a deal for 2 medium pizzas and a side for £19.99. Got the new Catalan Chicken & Chorizo, with the onions swapped for extra chorizo. Second pizza is half chicken feast, half pepperoni passion. And the side I got was the new garlic dippers. Quite nice
EDIT: Phew! Way too much food! Still got about half the slices left. I'll save it for tomorrow
but the question is.. do you re-heat your leftover pizza or eat it cold?
And we wonder why there's an obesity crisis. lol.
Oh come on, a little extreme don't you think?
What's the Catalan chicken like @Craig1981 I really want to try it and see what it's like.
I didn't really like the garlic dippers. They were pretty dry to me, the pizza garlic bread is definitely superior.
Cold. Always cold.
It’s quite nice. With the chorizo, peppers and the drizzle of sauce over it it’s a good pizza.
Can't get over the fact that people will pay £20+ for Domino's pizza.
Forgot to take pics but I had some sushi today.
Domino's pizza is too expensive and meh.
Elevenses. Time for a cup of coffee and a slice of my homemade pear almond tart.
That looks great Merlin, good job.
Dinner last night was Rosemary dauphinoise potatoes, lamb leg steak and garlic broccoli.
That tart looks fantastic, well done!
That tart looks great. Good job!
Late breakfast/brunch at Scran yet again for their weekend special. Dirty Macca, which is truffle macaroni cheese with maple glazed ham hock, black pudding crumb and a garlic & herb pretzel bun. Was so good! The portion was bigger than I expected it to be though. Ended up being so full that I didn't go anywhere for lunch.
Two delicious bacon sandwiches, I let the bacon cook just a bit longer so they're all nice and crispy.
Thanks guys, I'll save you a slice The lamb leg and the breakfast brunch looks awesome.
