**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

The 352 drivers have been really problematic for me and my 980 GTX, using Windows 8.1 x64. Either black screens with an odd flashing cursor or driver failing to respond and then recovering.

Gone back to the 350.12's and, thankfully, all is well after using a driver cleaner.

Gotta love PC's.
I'm running 8.1 as well with a 670 and haven't had any issues with 352.86, yet the 350.12 driver caused flashing textures, and "display driver stopped responding" errors.

Don't you just (love PC's) :D

Too many hobnomolies with too many variables.

First time since moving into the 9xx series of cards (from my GTX 670) that I have had such driver issues which were repeatable. Posted over at the NVidia forums.

seems there are lots of people having problems with the latest drivers, me included, on the forum they have said they are doing a fix and are aware of this.see here

I am running latest 352.86 driver with my 970.

Gaming is fine. However occasionally when watching youtube videos, the driver momentarily crashes and then 'recovers'.

Been having various issues with the latest Nvidia drivers as well, i thought it was because I'd changed from a 770 to a 980 but i see you guys are having similar issues.

Yeah Nvidia have even commented on it so hopefully we might get a hot fix/beta soon or they might wait for Arkham Knight to come out to release a WHQL.

GeForce Hotfix driver 353.00 ( Mobile Systems )

Works on Desktop too

These are just as good as 352.86whql...performance improvements in benchmarks are same, still not getting crashes of any kind.

Then I installed these 353.00 I used clean install and left it alone since then, and its still ok, no Firefox38 x64 bit TDR or black screen anymore, btw I always use HW acceleration.

I just played The Witcher 3 from 7.30pm till 11pm without a single crash just like the previous *working* drivers. So the 353.00's are good to go

These drivers are absolute dog ****.

I've only had the driver recovery message twice, so that's not a big deal for me, but Fifa 15 won't load past the loading splash unless I alt+enter it to windowed mode, get through to the main menu then alt+enter again for full screen and the game to run properly. Gtav I tried last night for the first time since installing the driver, it now has really bad hitching every 20 seconds or so making the game unplayable.

You just can't win at the moment, amd don't release drivers and then sulk and blame someone else for not doing so and nvidia churn out **** like this.

Not seen a driver not responding message for years but been getting them using Adobe Premiere Pro CC with these latest drivers.
