**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

326.29 on Win7 seem flawless for me. All other 32x.xx drivers would have random issues like monitor going to sleep and not waking up even though I have no monitor sleep mode options enabled in Windows. Random display driver stopped working errors and random slowdowns of Windows UI until suddenly driver stops working and has had to reload.

These have had none of those problems.

eVGA GTX 780, stock.
 
I installed the new 326.29 drivers without any problems, played BF3 for an hour & no problems... The performance was much better that the 326.01 driver ! I'd say this is the best driver if you own a GTX780 card...
 
Wait, 326.29? According to my nv panel I have 326.19 :eek:

When did the 20s come out lol? I just assumed the 29s were the ones I installed the other day...
 
Seeing some odd results with 326.29 - so far everything has run fine with a little bit extra performance but GPU temps are a bit odd - seeing slightly lower idle temps than I've seen before and thats with the warmer weather to but load temps are a bit higher than anything I've seen before - and its not so warm today as it has been over the previous 7 days.
 
So nobody else has had an instant black screen within a game shortly after installing these, rebooted their pc and then had groups of vertical blue stripe artifacts, that prevented the drivers from loading?

Maybe my old 8800GTS 512 is just showing its age, again. A fourth bake in the oven for 10mins at 200C brought it back to life. ;)

However, it was a bit odd to get a sudden issue, the other three times I've had to bake the card showed progressive issues that warned me I would need to bake. It is also a bit odd that this instant failure happened on a relatively cool day after the ~10 day heatwave, the card was showing the coolest idle and load temps for a while, gpu ~45/55C and pcb ~33/43C at 100% fan.

Sometimes I wonder why I still update the Nvidia drivers, weren't Forceware 275.xx regarded as the best for the "G92" cards?
 
Thought i would share this fix which works for me.

My 580's have been nothing but agro with all the drivers for a while now even 314.22 and up! Win 7/8 both the same result. But for some reason the last month was hell! Crashing, freezing ect...

After a LOT of searching and trying many a fix, i now have a solid stable rig, been solid for two weeks now.

I had to overclock my cards a little to 800 core and put the volts up to 1.100, seems a mad fix, but has worked like a charm, no more crashing on any driver, even 326.19. If i have normal clocks and volts i crash again, Mental!?

Anyway thought i would share, hope it helps somene.
 
Any one having this problem lately with the 326.29 & BF3 ??? I think the driver maybe maxing out my CPU cores & tring to figger it out...



Any one play BF3 & noticed with the 326.01 & 326.29 drivers your CPU core's all running at 95%-100% in BF3 ??? A friend & myself have this as we have the same set up (CPU-i5 3570k & GPU-GTX 780)...



Before this my cores never got over 80% & my FPS would be 100+ but since I've being using these drivers my FPS drop to around 44fps due to the CPU running at 100% & making a bottleneck ! This courses stutter & large FPS lag... It doesn't matter what setting you have (ie High, Med & even low) it still maxes out the CPU cores ? The GPU is at load of 98% & temps around 70c...



If you have v-sync on you may not notice but if you can look at your CPU load whilst playing to see if its happening to you ?



Now, surely a i5 clocked @4.6 with a max temp of 60c is not enough power for a GTX 780 ? My old HD7970 was smooth & settings were lower but I still could get large FPS & never seen them drop to below 60FPS + the CPU would sit at 70%-80% !



Any thoughts or feed back to see if it happens yourselves, this may not be limited to us GTX 780 owner & could be a GTX TITAN issue too ? Also anyone still on 320.49, does this happen to you (I can't use this driver due to the BF3 corruption but will test it later tonight) ?

Big problems with these for people with 120hz IPS monitors like the Catleap etc.
My Overlord gives a blank screen and so do the quadro equivalent.
 
I got driver 320.8 with 770 lightning and so far that has been the best working driver for me... been trying out the last few driver updates...running driver 326.29 the last couple of days, not notice any issues as yet!
