**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

your right. it was harsh. just like stuff for £600 to work. when I dropped £800 on 680 sli and never had a problem. genuinely, its a bit dissappoting. Although I never play that many games.

I do hope it isn't the card. I guess the card being bad would be artifacting etc?

Nah, it really want harsh.

Bit baffled by the current issues though, as I don't experience them at all. Though am quite grateful for that!

Good so far. Spent the day on Chrome watching Festival of Speed on Youtube, browsing with a few tabs open. Arkham Knights and GTA5 session last night. All good, no crashes

353.50 ? Where did you find that out of curiosity ?

Ah terribly sorry a type. 353.30. The Batman ready driver. I'll edit my post right away.

On a different note regarding Witcher 3 with SLI 980Ti. I found the most stable for me is 353.06 with Hardware Acceleration disabled in Chrome.

The other two drivers are a no go for me entirely.

Crashes here in chrome and witcher 3 when loading built up areas and no chrome running. Hot fix my a***

That's what I found as well. Usually big filled areas and changing scenes/loading quickly.

I'm on 353.38. Before that I had freezes in GTA5 with 353.06. 353.12 solved that but Chrome would do random unresponsiveness. 353.30 was stable but would get random chrome freeze on Youtube.

The only thing I've done with 353.38 is install driver and Physx only. Not bother with GE.

350.12 works well with Witcher 3 + Titan X and is rock solid.

Yeah I know what you mean. Your card is no doubt fine. 350.12 was a really solid driver, didn't have a single problem with Titan X / X99. Above that gave me weird issues with browsing, like locking and freezing, and Witcher 3 would just go back to desktop, like it would close itself. It's the drivers. Like there is some kind of conflict with certain progs.

I would stick with 350.12 and just enjoy gaming for now. Nvidia will sort this.

Yeah I'm about to start GTAV now I'm done with witcher so ill roll them back. 4770k and TX on a Dell 1400p monitor

Tried 353.30 windows 10 version, and lo and behold for the first time ever when running Firestrike I get:-

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

and crash. I give up - back to the previous driver for win 10. Have not tried 353.30 win8.1 version yet on my win 8.1 - should I bother !!!!!

Mark

So people are still crashing then? :(

Only people with underlying problems that were crashing in games before, or potentially still have Chrome open and still suffering. Not sure what's wrong with these peoples systems considering I've gone from 252 all the way to this hot fix and not once had these problems. Something has to give.

No. Not at all. Just because you dont have problems anymore does not mean peoples systems are the problem. The drivers are still under par and a lot of people STILL have the problem NVIDIA claim to of fixed.

Just got a driver crash with .38 drivers.

Really!? Not one crash. These drivers are great for me. All runs as it should. Been playing lots of GTA V and the new Batman and in fact since the batman patch came out the game runs even smoother. Extremely happy with these drivers. The only issue that needs fixing now is the Asus ROG Swift G-Sync 1440p G-sync light always red? Is this issue ever going to be fixed?

Yes, at all. This driver doesn't fix game related TDR crashes, it doesn't say anything in the releae note about this either. It's just coincidental I'm not getting these anyway. I couldn't even replicate most game related crashes when I tried my upmost to anyway. Actually I did replicate a couple, and it turned out my system memory and uncore were unstable where I had accidently left CPUVID enabled.

Likely not without a firmware update from ASUS - it's something that's been altered in the drivers to accommodate for something in Windows 10, but couldn't tell you what.
