**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

How unstable must be dependant on gaming habits, not had a single crash, lock up, black out, bug or any other issue since moving to w10 and 353.63, more so then I was on 352.xx on w8.1.

Generally everything is silky smooth for me at the moment, though admittedly I no longer play any of the current bf games if those have outstanding issues.

Same for me Paul. I am very impressed with W10 so far and not one crash in any of the games I have played at all and that includes Batman AK.

Lies lies lies :D:p:D

As we are the enemy - we must all be lying when we say we have no issues. ;)

Since I clean installed win 10 I've been having a nightmare, this is the first time it's not been plain sailing for me in over ten years of geekdom. GTA5 plays amazingly for about ten minutes then becomes a stuttery mess, settings don't seem to make any difference. The previous versions play nice but crash when I alt tab out. I don't know if I've got the energy to reformat for the fifth time. Gsync, SLI and vsync off is borked too.

Yep same, Win10 no crashes (well GFX related) since. Aside from Windows trying to update my GFX drivers when I told it not to, it's been rock solid

This is naughty, and I wont be surprised if Microsoft change this behaviour in a future update.

I've seen this too (with other drivers) even tho I have the update driver settings turned off. :o

Quadro 353.82 WHQL 2015.8.12

ODE Driver
This is the third driver release for the R352 driver branch, the ‘Optimal Drivers for Enterprise’ [ODE]. ODE branches are dedicated to relatively long term stability for ISV certification, OEMs, and Enterprise customers.
NVIDIA has been working closely with Microsoft on the development of Windows 10 and DirectX 12. Coinciding with the arrival of Windows 10, this Quadro Windows 10 driver includes the latest optimizations, tweaks and bug fixes to ensure end users have an optimal graphics experience

New in this driver:

This driver release supports Windows 10. Some of the changes associated with the graphics driver for Windows 10 include the following:
DirectX 12
DirectX 12 is supported, but not available with Fermi GPUs.
Cross-adapter Clone Mode
Clone mode across graphics processors is handled by the Windows 10 OS and not by the NVIDIA driver. Consequently, there are no controls for cross-adapter clone mode in the NVIDIA Control Panel under Windows 10.
Optimus Systems
As cross-adapter clone mode is handled by the Windows 10 OS, there are no display controls in the NVIDIA Control Panel if no display is connected to the NVIDIA GPU.

New in R352 branch:

CUDA 7.5
NVIDIA Enterprise Management Toolkit (NvWMI) version 2.22
NVIDIA Control Panel: Added Tiled display support to Mosaic Pan and Scan with Confidence Monitor
NVIDIA Control Panel->Display->Set up multiple displays->Smart clone display option.
12 bit per color component support over DisplayPort
Display->Set up G-SYNC page
Added G-SYNC indicator and support for windowed mode.
Moved the Dynamic RGB Range controls from the Adjust Desktop Color Settings page to the Change Resolution page.
Mosaic: Added reboot persistence, hotplug/unplug, and undock/dock support for notebook systems.

Mozilla has forcefully blocked this 353.62 driver from using hardware acceleration on Firefox 40, I have had no issues whatsoever in Firefox with this driver.

https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/3gns6i/hardware_acceleration_became_disabled_in_firefox/

At the moment, Mozilla and Microsoft are in a little bit of a spat.

It all started when win 10 makes it too easy for the end user to use edge over any other browser. Since then they have been toing and froing firing missiles at each other.

In Firefox 40 for example, Mozilla have made it so if Firefox is chosen as default browser, it will hijack cortana searching from Bing to what ever is default in Firefox.

When I did a ddu sweep it told me once completed it would disable auto updates for me - which it has :)

It keeps installing 3D vision viewer shortcuts to my desktop and disabling SLI randomly even though I've disabled auto updates and used ddu. Switched to the .49s and the stuttering is much much better in GTA5, Witchers butter smooth. Stick with these for now.
