**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Makes me laugh that people use DDU and stuff and have problems and I just express install over the top every time and never have issues.

Haven't got Pascal though, still rocking Titan X Maxwell SLI

Same, no problems.

Didn't select Geforce Experience this time. I tried updating via it and it wanted me to sign in. They can do one if I think I'm signing in or registering an account. Web download in the end.

How long before they require you to log in to download drivers through their site though? That is what will come next...

Luckily, throw away email addresses (and fake details) exist. If everyone floods their database with duff data they will soon get the message :D

There'll nearly always be a direct http download link for wget etc.

What bothered me about GFE is that it detected two Titan's, then for CS:GO or other non GFX heavy games it'd set them as medium? No I have to sign in? No thanks!

I'm running some tests for manualG (Nvidia drivers guy on Geforce forums)

I'm running a series on benchmarks showing the performance degredation with the past WHQL drivers by running benchmarks in Division.

Just to make 100% sure since I have a G-Sync monitor, in Nvidia CP does Vsync remain ON and In-Game V-Sync is OFF?

thanks

Another NVidia driver, that is broken and isn't working properly with Pascal cards

The next person who will write the Nvidia has better drivers than AMD, I will call them a propagandist Nvidia fanboys, who should return to their cave and leave the forums clean of their prejudice.

drivers are perfect for me.. but then again every driver has been since switching from AMD to nvidia..

playing Forza BF1 OW witcher 3 COD IW

1080 +130 on core +500 on mem @ 3440x1440p silky smooth!

I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but it would seem to be as good as any other: on rare occasions when booting into desktop, I notice that icons / shortcuts have moved. I wonder if it's something related to installing a new graphics driver, though in this case I can't see the connection as I updated last night and have turned the PC on / off a few times since.

Noticed a nice fps jump with 375.76 in Bf1 @ 5760x1080, seems noticeably smoother (not that it struck me as not previously TBH) but I'm running a 780ti rather than 10 series where I've read these drivers are causing issues.

My icons (I have a lot) move as well, because during the driver install, windows will go to a lower rez.

I use an icon save/restore program.

My friend using a 780 Ti has had the memory issue with the latest drivers. Fortunately I've stayed with an older set as I'm not playing the targeted games. I have to say I really dislike the new GeForce Experience software, not just because I have to create YET ANOTHER account, but because Shadowplay has been mixed into this "Share" interface that I find irritating to use.

It baffles me how these drivers ever got released by Nvidia.

Do they not test the drivers they are going to release to the public ?

This memory issue seems to be widespread. Surely they would have known there is a problem if they'd simply tested the drivers in a few PCs with different cards installed. This makes Nvidia look like a bunch of amateurs. I previously owned AMD cards, and kept reading about how bad AMD drivers are. To be honest, I never had any issues with their drivers. This latest driver for my Nvidia card hasn't just got a bug with certain games, it basically doesn't work.
