**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Anyone had issue with v-sync turn off in Tom's Clancy The Division game? As soon as i touch the option, i stuck on low fps. With v-sync, the game runs perfectly fine. Strange.

I have mine turned off at the moment in game and it runs the same as always which is fine.

I do have adaptive vsync turned on in NVidia control panel however.

EDIT: However, I have had issues where changing any graphics setting has resulted in the game completely freezing for about 30-45 seconds and then its back to normal again.

Not here, as i mentioned before. Something is way wrong here on driver side.

Playing?

If it goes for 4-5 hours it's unlikely to be a display driver issue.

well theirs 0 crash logs, so cannot tell what it is. however PC still responds (usb eject fine etc)

it only started after upgrading to .33 though may not be related to downgraded to .09 see how it is.

already did a sfc scan no issues in windows.

Whats the point in releasing new WHQL drivers and then releasing a hotfix on the same day....

Merge the hotfix in to the WHQL and then release one update when certified...

---

As of 9:05pm the new WHQL seems to have been pulled.

nVidia don't have control over WHQL certification so they'd have to release a hotfix or beta if a subsequent issue was found or wait for WHQL certification which can take awhile and wouldn't necessarily be acceptable depending on the nature of the issue.

376.xx don't seem to stable here on my 970. Had a few freezes involving Chrome. One freeze was followed by Windows not recognising the video card on reboot. (Spinning circles, no flag). That was the first time I'd ever seen that.

World of Warcraft runs worse on them too (compared to 372.90). Rolled back to 372.90 while I read about issues with the current wave of drivers.

My 980ti in BF1 has become very jittery, compared to how it ran at launch and to how smooth battlefront runs. i might take your lead and try rolling back to 372.90

I am sure there will be another set of driver released soon maybe before resident evil 7 is released ?

I am using 376.33 here.

thought i would post this here too, fond the reason for my Witcher Crashing:
Background
Recently for me Witcher 3 has been crashing every 4 hours or so. i couldn't get to the bottom of it. it was random & often in the Area Loading screen when doing fast travel. Then After exiting The Game (when it didnt crash) Steam seem to get slower & Slower. Sometimes latch up for minutes.

The issue:
Witcher in this case saves every 3 Minutes & i manually save often after 300+ hours of game play that's a lot of saves. it does cull some by looks of it but, My Steam Cloud backups was 997.9MB/998MB

Solution
so i went in game & removed every save then just re-saved where i am at now.
My Steam Cloud backups was 00.2MB/998MB
no more crashing, no more steam latch ups
