I have had that before and no idea why. I also did a restart and problem gone.
 
Same thing happened to me last night with the 332.21 drivers. No idea what the cause was, uninstalling the driver and reinstalling fresh it fixed it.
 
Ive been getting that issue on and off since i went sli 780 in November. Both on Windows 7 and 8.1. Turning k-boost on and off fixes it but it is annoying. None of the drivers since November have sorted it for me.
 
The new 334.67 fixed clocks with movie playback for me. Card would keep max mem clock during movie playback VLC etc..

Very nice drivers, performance and seem stable. Clock fix is very welcome !

I don't know why but I never trust these modded quadro drivers, A bit like "Tweakforce" they do a modded driver every 2nd or 3rd official release but apart from maybe a few points here and there theres not anything different.
 
Something odd just happened with mine since putting the new drivers on this morning. My screen blanked for a second, Aero theme turned off and my 780 clocked up, it even boosted. Screen blanked again and it dropped the boost, 1 more screen blank and Aero turned back on and 780 went into idle.

Very strange.

Could have been WinSat though it usually only goes off at IIRC 2am on a Sunday, not sure if it has a fallback if your PC is never on at that time, I usually disable it.
