**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Cool, the image sharpening is now in NVCP rather than in GF Experience, with extra options.

The scaling option threw me off for a bit.

Once you enable it, in your games you will be able to select all crazy types of resolutions - the game will render at that and the driver will upscale it to the resolution in the driver for image ouput.

They should have just implemented a slider from 5% to 100%

The new sharpener is also very lights - only reduces performance around 1 to 2%

I've tested gsync over HDMI on the LG C9 OLED and it's working brilliantly

So this new ReShade support, it's only of use in games deemed worthy enough for support in the Nvidia drivers, so that rules out using it in all my emulators, which benefit greatly from its features, and just about any none AAA game released before 2015, where its of most use..

...guess I'll still be installing ReShade the old fashioned way for some time to come afterall.

Yeah, what a joke. Just like hiding a bunch of features in their GeForce Now or whatever the crap it is called to try and force you to install it or miss out.

I really do think these sharpening filterss are way overrated,TBH.

They look OK for static screenshot grabbing but when the game is in motion the effect is completely unnoticible, apart from the drop in framerates they tend to cause.

I've had issues with a couple of games where the image will shrink horizontally.

The fix is to adjust the rez back and forth again.

Think I'll be going back to the older driver.

Anyone else seen this?

Still something wrong with G-Sync after the last few driver updates, Fullscreen it works perfectly, Windowed even with the prior game ready drivers it randomly decides to stop working upon the launch of various games, If I switch to fullscreen ingame it works straight away.

Is that still happening? Was still on 397 until recently as had endless issues with driver crashing with Gsync in windowed absolutely drove me nuts. 441 seems ok so far, touch wood.

How do you know if its working or not?
My old monitor had on an optional on-screen Hz display. If that changes a bit you know the G-sync is working.

Nvidia Inspector has an option to turn on onscreen indication, it shows a GSYNC ON overlay top left.
