That brings back memories. I remember that classic control panel on Windows 2000 in summer 2001. Detonator drivers 21.83 or something...

Fond memories those days from Quake 3 Fortress and Enemy Territory.
Is that GPU Scheduling worth turning on yet ?
Is that GPU Scheduling worth turning on yet ?
I've had it on since release. Not noticed anything special though.
What I want to know is what the other setting does. the one about VRR.
I mean you have Gsync or FreeSync so what is that MS toggle for?
Ignore it, leave it off ^^^^
I have it on, its........ a thing.

Four New G-SYNC Compatible Displays
The G-SYNC Compatible program expands the G-SYNC ecosystem and aims to bring consistency and educate consumers on which displays will provide a good entry level variable refresh rate (VRR) experience. The newly-validated monitors are the Acer CP3271U V, Asus XG27AQ, MSI MAG274QR and Xiaomi Mi 245 HF, giving gamers even more choice when searching for a great gaming display.
Off topic but I do miss q3f!
I'm curious, what class did you play?
Does this bring back fond memories?
Grenadiers were nasty, I loved that class. Recon and Agent were a pest but Agent on pubs were hilarious.
Soldier and Sniper were my mains. I'd mostly be Soldier or Grenadier in clan games.
Having lived the stuttering nightmare for the last few months i would make sure you have the 20h2 update and so far 457.09 ive had the best luck with. There was a windows update recently that had something to do with the problem too. The latest driver seems to have a bigger list of required fixes than features these daysHey guys I'm having some stuttering in games and it's like the game is pausing for a split second which happens at random intervals but very often like multiple times per minute depending on a game.
I'm running stock 3700X with 16GB 8 Pack 3600 cl 16 ram and 3080 FE (tried stock and undervolted with same results) on a MSI X470 Gaming Pro motherboard.
CPU and GPU thermals are under control (60c max on the CPU and 60-70 on GPU).
The stuttering occurs regardless of which drive a game is running from but I'm usually running games from separate NVME drive just for games.
My mobo is running latest bios and I have latest chipset drivers installed with Ryzen balanced power plan..
Tried installing fresh operating system with only chipset and graphics drivers installed but it is exactly the same.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Edit: forgot to add that I have Corsair RM850i power supply running in single rail OCP mode and two separate cables powering the GPU.
