**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Have this odd issue on the latest driver where from a cold start the active signal resolution changes to 4096x2160, whereas the desktop resolution is and should be 3840x2160.

If I go into NCP I have to switch Perform Scaling On to GPU, then Display, to get it to switch back to what it should be on both, 3840x2160.

Only started with 461.40. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but it doesn’t seem to happen if I set it to 60Hz, seems to happen every time when set to 120Hz, yet it’s been at 120Hz with all the previous drivers without a hitch.

Could roll back to an earlier driver but it only takes a couple of mouse clicks to fix, albeit bloody irritating.

I've been playing through the Far Cry games again and got through 3 and most of 4 without issue. Upgraded to 461.40 and started getting crashes. Reverted to 457.51 and all seems well again.

Nvidia said end of Feb for resize bar drivers so I expect them this week.

Thought the 3000 series cards already out also needed a VBIOS update to support resize bar on top of the motherboard BIOS and driver, still waiting for that VBIOS update as well.

Should be some new drivers out today, as Nvidias launching a JPEG of the 3060.

Strange there is no 3060 in the driver selection page they often stick a new card in there before its released as a cheap marketing ploy. (same way it defaults to laptop 3xxx series instead of 3xxx series desktop)

Support for other desktop GPUs will follow in late March

3060 must come with it enabled in vBIOS

if you can buy one.

KitGuru have some small part of the 3060 review showing the RBAR performance differences - looks very meh to be honest.
