**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I’ve seen other people report this on Reddit so you aren’t alone - the GPU is of course not really at 100% utilisation in those cases
Good to know, thanks. GPU utilization is way lower according to GPU-Z. Still, I think I will wait for a hotfix or new driver

I removed Afterburner + profiles before installing a RTX 3070, I'll see if there's any residual files.

Makes you wonder how long they've held this for and why now, at the exact point in time of the 4090 launch.

I trust any company about as much as I trust a poisonous snake, They either enabled the "hidden" GSP on the die to improve performance by up to 25% or they hired actual wizards from the Sanctum Sanctorum to optimise their drivers, My money is on the former.

They did this for 1 reason, Shift more 3000 series stock so leather wearing Jenny Wang can say "Look how much we care about gamers" when in reality they really don't.

It's really odd. The gains are reasonable fps wise although unusual this late in the cycle, but that kind of overhead reduction in cpu use just makes no sense at all from one driver update. The game wasn't patched either. Nothing running in background that shouldn't of been, no updates, windows updates paused, windows scan already completed etc

That is precisely what the little on-die bit of hardware called the GSP solves which is why my money is on them enabling it with this driver release.

Hi pc:

12900K with NZXT KRAKEN X73 ( 50-60C in game )

2x16GB DDR4 KINGSTON DDR4 3600MHZ in GEAR 1

RTX 3090 Ti Gigabyte Gaming

Aorus Z690 Elite DDR4 bios F5

SSD 1 TB NVM PCIE

I have Windows 11 installed the newest version.

522.25 drivers - gpu usage from 99% to 70-90% in Watch Dogs legion. And stuttering and lagging ( for few seconds ) . Something with this drivers.

Before 522.25 was fine. Rolling back to june drivers and see how it will help.

Cyberpunk 2077 may display artifacts when bringing up the in-game map after updating to Game Ready Driver 522.25

Issue:
After updating to Game Ready Driver 522.25, certain GPUs may show artifacts in Cyberpunk 2077 when bringing up the in-game map.

Solution:
A fix will be pushed to users PCs via an over the air update in the coming days. If you do not receive the update or if you wish to apply the fix manually, you may do so by following the instructions below:

1. Download the NVIDIA program GeForce 3D Profile Manager from the KBA below:
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2625/

2. Download the file "cyberpunk2077profile.txt" from the Attachments section in this KBA below.

3. Launch the program GeForce 3D Profile Manager which you downloaded in step 1.

4. Click on the button labeled Import SLI Profiles.

5. A file explorer window will pop up. Select the file "cyberpunk2077profile.txt" which you downloaded in step 2 and then click on the Open button.

Has anyone experienced exiting game changes the resolution down to 1024x768 and then try to manually change it back to monitors native resolution but wont change for a number of times.? When I noticed this happen after couple of weeks 22H2 got installed. Also had 2 instances of screen just going blank during game forcing me to reboot the other day. Just hope my RTX3070 is not dying already..

Studio driver updated, I know it;'s the same as 522.25, but I just prefer the nature of studio drivers, feels more reliable on a psychological level :p

I built myself a new system last week but have been experiencing static-like lines in some games (above - you may have to open it in a new tab as it doesn't seem very visible embedded). The location changes and so does the frequency it appears; sometimes it'll be several in the space of 10 seconds then nothing for a few minutes. As you can imagine it gets a bit annoying and it doesn't seem to matter whether I'm running max or low settings (or lower resolutions) in the problem games. I've only got around to installing and playing a few games but it doesn't seem to be a problem in games like Mirror's Edge Catalyst or The Witcher but is a problem in both CoD WWII and CoD MWII.

I've tried using both the latest and previous Nvidia driver, all other system drivers are running the latest available. I ran several benchmarks after building and everything came back great. I'm hoping somebody has experienced this before and it's a simple solution/setting - proving to be a bit of a nuisance

System Specs as below:
i7-12700K @ 3.6GHz: Noctua NH-D15S, Asus ROG Strix Z690-A, 64GB 3600MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX, Corsair RM1000e PSU, Gigabyte RTX 3080 OC 12GB, Electriq Super Ultrawide 120Hz (5120x1440)

If it's only in some games, what engines do all those games run? If they run the same engine then it could be an issue with the engine with your configuration.

I'm assuming the usual things have been checked like if Resize BAR is on, then turn it off, if it's off then on etc?

Yep, Resize BAR has been tried both on and off. The engine is something I thought about, both problem games run a variant of the IW engine. I've currently got Spider-Man Remastered downloading so can give that a go in a bit.

Although I swear I've just seen it do it in Windows with nothing running... it may be worth me chucking a 1080 in and seeing how that goes, though that wouldn't 100% tell me what the problem is.

Edit: Worth mentioning the temps never go above 65°C

It could be the display as well though, the cable and connection could cause this randomly too as the signal jitters sometimes or if a connection is loose. You could try another display port socket on the GPU or display and see if that sorts it, if that doesn't work, drop the refresh rate to 120Hz - Basically try to narrow it down as much as possible ruling these easy check things out first.
