**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I might be barking up the wrong tree but it's bothered me ever since I read about it existing that it didn't seem to be enabled

I never knew it had the chip or at least if I was aware of it in some capacity forgot about it as after reading your link, its absolutely what's needed to assist with the cpu overhead. Only let off is it may have taken them some time to figure out how to use it but two years is far too long, likely they didn't want Ampere users getting free boost in case it curtailed some Ada sales in past couple of days.

I applied the new driver today and noticed an uplift in Horizon Zero Dawn and Shadow of the Tomb Raider as promised.

Prior to today, I was getting around 96FPS on my 3080Ti Suprim X on Native 4K @ max settings. On re-running the benchmark, I'm now getting 104FPS.

I've also noticed the same thing with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Native 4K, "highest" settings with TAA used to give me around 100FPS. Now I'm getting around 107FPS.

"These improvements include shader compilation optimization, reduced CPU overhead, and Resizable BAR profiles for Forza Horizon 5 and F1Ⓡ 22. Many of these optimizations are most beneficial in CPU-bound scenarios, enabling your graphics card to be utilized to a greater degree."

Well, guess they gotta do something to sell them 3000 series cards :p

I'm running the Clean 522.25 drivers and so far they're all good, first thing i tested was Serato Dj Pro after seeing that borked map screenshot, i use Serato software more than any other app so at least they didnt screw that up :)

Has anyone else found some odd bugs with Win Task Manager and the 522.25 graphics driver?

I tried clean installing this driver, but I keep getting GPU utilization of 100% reported by DWM.exe.

Reverting to the 516.93 (July 26) display driver via device manager shows very low GPU usage again.

Tested on an RTX 3070 FE, Windows 11 22H2.

I’ve seen other people report this on Reddit so you aren’t alone - the GPU is of course not really at 100% utilisation in those cases

With these latest drivers, I'm questioning if afterburner osd can even be remotely realistic. Spiderman remastered has gone from overall cpu load showing as high as up to roughly 58% down to virtually single digit percentages. It's quite often as low as 3-5% load. Makes you wonder how long they've held this for and why now, at the exact point in time of the 4090 launch.

Well, I installed them and had a different experience.
I had 100% utilisation shown in MSI afterburner but low temps 59c and very flow fan curve. 41% when benchmarking. This showed a result 2K down on my normal range on Fire Strike.
Rolled back, same.
It seems afterburner needed to be uninstalled, including deleting the profiles, before it would work.

All good now.
