**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

NVIDIA GeForce 535.50 Windows Insider Build

This new driver branch adds some new flags: Enable/Disable Dynamic FPS Feature, Idle Application Max FPS Limit, Idle Application Threshold Time out in seconds, shader cache control flags,shader cache path to dll.

Thought I'd post this here as it pertains more to a feature within the driver.

Found out something some may find interesting... in the Nvidia driver it seems only certain games are white listed to enable ReBar. You can enable it globally in Nvidia profile inspector but the results are mixed.

Some games give a nice performance uplift and in others the game can become unstable, In others like Spiderman Remastered it causes textures to take an age to properly load in.

ReBar enabled and textures can take up to 1 minute to fully load in, This is after 57 seconds -

Does it even do any harm......

Its a really bad problem to have, if a driver doesn't respond in time or quick enough it could cause audio and video dropouts, may cause the system to momentarily freeze or stutter if it's bad enough. This bug should be the absolute top priority, it's ridiculous it takes them so long to fix it.
 
You would think the Studio driver would have DPC latency nailed down tight, but nope, a driver that undergoes extensive testing beyond the norm for production environments, where real time audio and video apps are being used, has a driver that still has DPC latency :D

I turned ReBar off, caused no end of problems...
 
Hmm, will give these a miss then.

Turns out it was a Windows issue, Did a sfc/scannow and it repaired something, Driver works fine now.

Yeah it only benefits a few games, Most I've tested it just results in various oddities.
