**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

On 531.41 I seems to be getting artefacts on Desktop and in Dead By Daylight :/

Hoping it's not a dying card, 3090.

Vulkan Beta Driver 531.46 has been excellent in the games I play... Although the Latency issue is still there

Try them and let me know! - Cheers

Nvidia have acknowledged the crashes on 30 Series GPUs

  • [The Last of Us Part 1] Game may randomly crash during gameplay on GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs [4031676]

This one's annoying, it's destroying immersion, can run it on an older driver and it doesn't crash but you can walk into a new area and it will have artifacts in it.

Hopefully NV/devs fix it soon.

For anyone running a Kepler GPU, Nvidia just released a driver with security updates.

NVIDIA has released a software security update display driver for desktop Kepler-series GeForce GPUs which are no longer supported by Game Ready Drivers. This update addresses issues that may lead to multiple security impacts.

All fine on my end with latest studio drivers once DLSS was turned off (not tried the new patch yet which supposedly fixes issues with dlss). Must be user error ;) :p

After my screen wakes from sleep it takes about 30 seconds for anything to work, like its frozen.

Just did a DDU uninstall to completely wipe all the previous rubbish including any Telemetry/Geforce Experience and then used NVSlimmer to only install the core/driver and physx! Will give Last of Us a test tomorrow :)

i also add the nvcontainer to install, no nvidia control panel on right click option otherwise

NVSlimmer is very convenient for removing the bloat and just installing what you want. I use it everytime.

Since running the studio driver, my overall experience with the 3070 is noticeably better, less stutter (in games) and more stable.

Whether the issue I saw before means I need a new power supply, I don't know, though I wouldn't have thought so. I haven't had this one that long, all considered (~3 years or so).

FYI my crashes with Last of us was not driver related but page file
had 2GB pagefile for many years on 32GB RAM/3090(24GBVRAM)
but last of us used 2GB pagefile before Those, increased to 6GB no more crashes. silly really but worth a try @Neil79

I've had no crashes since updating the Driver, but thank you for the info! Might help someone else :cool::cool:
