Yup, I'd bet on it.I'll fully expect another disaster
I thought the latency thing was introduced in 516.xx or something?Still no latency fix!! I DDU'd my drivers and went back to 528.24 as that seems to be the newest one without the latency bug.
i dont think anyone has gone back and tested old drivers, there is the distinction between it being on the list of known issues and still happening but not known yetI thought the latency thing was introduced in 516.xx or something?
I've seen reports that say people first noticed it in 516.94, although I guess it might not be in patch notes until a bit later. I'd be more worried about it being and issue than it being in the patch notes though.i dont think anyone has gone back and tested old drivers, there is the distinction between it being on the list of known issues and still happening but not known yet
I think it's mostly to do with audio processing. Not sure if it'd affect gaming but audio (maybe including video+audio) processing. What exactly does this latency thing affect? Can't say I have noticed any issues but not sure what exactly I should be looking for?

I mean it specifically refers to the app LatencyMon, but I've no idea what that is and guess it's just what people used to spot/show the issue rather than being a thing people were trying to use.
The latest driver update from NVIDIA, version 535.98, introduces some interesting changes that aren't listed in the release note:
File Size Reduction: The file size has been significantly reduced with this update. The new file size is 653.5MB, representing a decrease of approximately 23% compared to the previous version (532.03) which was 855.18MB.
GPU Decompression Optimizations: The 535.98 driver incorporates GPU decompression optimizations, building upon the improvements introduced in the 535.50 beta version. These optimizations are specifically designed to enhance the performance and efficiency of Gen5 SSDs.
To gain a better understanding of the enhancements and witness the benefits firsthand, you can watch the video linked below, which highlights the GPU decompression optimizations for Gen5 SSDs:

were you playing a game? i can leave it idle and it doesnt trigger until i load something upIt's definately not in the 528.24 drivers. Any after that and it shows up in LatencyMon within a minute. In 528.24 I left LatencyMon running for over 30 minutes and it's not present.
I just joined team Green (been away for a while) what's the best way to view FPS, temps etc in game?
I think I read somewhere that Afterburner also needs another program to be installed for the overlay to work? Most people seem to use the MSI Afterburner overlay.

Sweet, thanks. Does it also support Ryzen CPU's?It uses Rivatuner (comes bundled with the afterburner installer)

Can't say I've seen this myself, but...

Display driver issues are a pretty common occurrence and it looks like Nvidia's latest Windows driver, which is WHQL-signed, is affected. The new driver is apparently causing display flickering.www.neowin.net
