**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

is it prudent to update to 546.34 for my sons Lenovo Legion gaming laptop running a 3060?

He's currently running 546.33 and has had a few issues with artifacts.

546.34 isn't showing in his GFE, though so I assume it'll need downloading directly from the nVidia website?

The latest Game Ready Driver update significantly improves gaming performance on the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, particularly for new games that utilize DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology. Notably, this update enhances support for games like Palworld, which now benefits from the integration of DLSS 2 technology.

Key Updates in Gaming Technology:

  • Comprehensive support for the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER GPU has been added, optimizing it for peak gaming performance.
Resolved Gaming Bugs:

  • An issue in Cyberpunk 2077, where the GeForce Experience's one-click optimization feature was not functioning correctly with the version 2.1 game update (Reference: 4412456), has been addressed and resolved.
Resolved General Bugs:

  • A recurring problem with Maxwell GPUs has been fixed. Previously, after several sleep/wake cycles, there was a noticeable issue where monitors would fail to wake up (Reference: 4351702). This bug has now been rectified in the latest driver update.
This driver update reflects a commitment to continuously refine and enhance the gaming experience for users of the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, ensuring better performance and resolving known issues for a smoother, more reliable gameplay experience.

Studio FTW.

Generally game performance is exactly the same as the same version of the game ready driver, since they are exactly the same core drivers, just with additional TLC for professional applications that use GPU acceleration etc and biased towards stability. I only have Horizon installed but that benches at my max gsync frame limit anyway so pointless comparing that :p

Been having issues since I installed 546.33 Studio Drivers. For info I always do a clean install.

I use MediaPortal 2 to watch TV shows/football while browsing YouTube and Twitter (X). Since installing 546.33 MediaPortal2 regularly locks up. I have reverted to the 546.01 Studio Drivers and everything is back to normal.

Have raised a ticket with Nvidia but just wondering if anyone else experienced similar?
