Stutter/Latency fix has been delayed

Well at least they have communicated what's happening which is a refreshing change, So many companies simply ignore their customers.

So basically DPC latency could now actually be fixed with the next game ready driver, or is this just the VRR stutter fix? I haven't had the VRR stutter for reference!

Means @mrk will have to switch to the game ready driver instead :p

I really don't get all this talk of stutter with recent drivers either, in what cases is this happening? I use rivatuner and msi ab and have zero stutter, if there is stutter, it is usually down to the game itself and not a specific nvidia driver issue unless there is some certain combination of hardware causing issues?

Yeah people throw a lot of **** at nvidia, they are pretty active and more interactive with their customers these days such as the above example as well as in interviews with Bryan and so on, very of the script and actually seem to take on board suggestions. It's the same with the rtx remix tool, their discord is very active where they're helping modders out.

Recently upgraded to the 4080 Super, however I can't get Gsync/Vsync to work in Battlefield 2042.. Keeps going over 165fps to around 200 at times. Every other game works perfectly fine and stays maxed at 160. Which is the frame rate cap I've set it to below my 165hz monitor.

Enable vsync in the control panel?

Can you not also set a refresh rate limit in the game?

Not in a fairly long time, May 2023 he was last seen.

AFAIK he got severely fed up of the PC scene.
Can you blame him? the offerings have been pretty meh. The real advances many have been waiting for is no where to be seen and we are instead to be overly excited about fake frames, upscaled frames and more realistic fps halving lights'n'shadows and double pricepoints.. Big "#!"# whoop if you ask me.

Hit the nail on the head. IMHO golden GPU era for decent price and excellent performance was the 1000 series, After that it went downhill at mach 10.

Just when he bought his 4080S, will heal over time.:p

Jensen crept up behind him and said gently "bite the pillow... I'm going in dry" and all throughout the neighborhood a grown man screaming in both pain and horror followed by a roaring Jensen shouting "ooohhhhh you buy more you save more ooooooh".

I don't get it? What does that have to do with one game that's not working right?

Meh. My Radeon 4070 was much better value. It was like £200 and the best money could buy at the time. Oh and it beat the 8800 GTX Ultra which cost 3 times as much with ease.

I miss those days. That's the AMD I remember and love. Not what they have become which is Nvidia/Intel Jr. Sad :(

A modder's released a tool to use Nvidia's HDR in games, Apparently all the things needed are already in the driver. A nice alternative to Window 11's AutoHDR -

Created a new thread for this as it's a pretty big feature tbh. Supposedly works better than windows auto hdr.

Nvidia locking me in even more ffs
