**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

It seems to do something where it adds something that monitors the install.
Maybe its just monitoring the install to make sure Windows isnt getting involved while connected to the net.

I use NVCleaninstall all the time now instead of waiting for someone on Guru3D forums to do it for me.

Not yet had any issues for around 12 months doing it myself.

Guide..

I didnt use this video but this is more recent though it says the same thing as the video I watched a year ago.

Yeah, I mean it's pretty easy to figure out how to use the tool, it's just that I don't like not knowing what it's monitoring and why it won't let me manually remove stuff.

Rolled back to 561.09 from the latest 565.90..

Noticing more CPU usage, higher CPU temps when running Chrome (video or streams) and it isnt really using GPU Hardware Acceleration so searched this and multiple users having similar experience but with Corsair software having high CPU usage amongst other things, roll backs fixing it for them.

All normal again after rolling back myself.

I use iCUE so maybe this is linked to the issues I mentioned above.. shall wait for this to get fixed.

Cheers @Neil79 :)

The iCUE issue seems most common in systems with an AIO with an LCD screen. There's a workaround for now - if you reduce the refresh rate of the LCD screen to the minimum possible, CPU usage returns to normal.

I noticed they validated a whole list of monitors in the latest drivers. But still no sign of the AW3225QF.
does it make a difference anyway? other than its more clicks to turn on Gsync?
and you can confirm GSync is working by clicking "Gsync compatible indicator" found by clicking "display" at the very top of the control panel

Then the top right corner of your screen during gaming will say either "Gsync" or "Normal"

I bet loads of people have gsync compatible monitors but never knew to turn it on in the control panel

Does nvidia drivers make VR UNSTABLE ?
Sorry for the maybe question, but last week, Windows updated my nvidia driver, and my vr performance was terrible..

Upgraded it or downgraded it?

What version where you on and what has it installed?

Whenever I upgrade my drivers I also disable the ethernet connection so that windows doesn't get involved during a driver installation.

I guess ideally try to stay current with drivers and windows won't try to get involved.
