**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Played some Helldivers 2 on 571.96, was getting some glitching when in the space ship area on previous drivers. This has gone on these drivers. Also undervolted and temps stuck at 67c on an ASUS Blower. All good.

And also the stuttering in DayZ has gone as well with frame rates super smooth in most games! Probably something to do with the shader cache being in a different area now too.

Very happy, 571.96 are keepers :)

Ok so according to this the new DLSS 4 works well enough on the 4000 series (5% hit) but not so much on the 3000 series (25% hit).
You're misquoting. It's only when RR is used as well there is a big hit on 3000 series. From what people have been saying you can drop down to performance on the new transformer model and it still looks as good as the old quality...i guess we can all tell on Thursday...so maybe that will disguise the cost of the new RR?

I've been testing a few games with the DLSS4 upscaling dll and forcing preset J via Nvidia profile inspector.

Currently on a 3090 and latest official drivers (not the previews which supposedly help mitigate the loss a bit) and there definitely is a performance hit with like for like settings eg quality vs quality, CNN vs Transformer. I don't think it's anything like 25% though, even when using Ray Reconstruction eg In Cyberpunk It's more ~10-15%.

Is the image quality noticeably better? That hit isn’t too bad if it’s still in a playable FPS range but you’re getting noticeably better IQ.

By the sounds of it you can also drop down a bit on the DLSS setting and it will still be an improvement over quality on the old model.

Is it worth the trade off?
