**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I just got the Nvidia app today with the release of DLSS 4.

Its found all my games fine and there in programs -> graphic settings but Stalker 2 doesn't have the "driver settings" that i can use to change it to DLSS 4 etc, it just says "Configure in-game and driving settings here" with a large blank space.
Black ops 6 is doing the same i have just noticed. They are both owned through Xbox game pass but i have Indiana Jones and starfield through game pass as well and they have all the options to change the DLSS to latest etc.

Any ideas?

Noticed the same with some other GamePass games - no DLSS settings at all. But few other (IJ etc.) seem to be fine, so bit confusing.

Just got a massive boost using Preset J in Dragon Age Veilguard.

I am still on a 3080
A quick test in ghost tsushima for me takes me from 4k playing in 21:9 with balanced DLSS getting about 110 fps, to 65-70 fps using transformer DLSS performance at 65-70 fps and the start menu is all screwed up and blocky :( On a 3080

Nvapp update seems disapointing. Hardly any games are "supported".

Silent Hill 2 - Not supported
STALKER 2 - Not supported
God of War Ragnarok - Not supported
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Does not even show up in the app.

WTF is this noobness. Won't be until 6000 series comes out until NVapp is where it should be.

Latest drivers causing system reboots (incorrect memory addressed in nvwgf2umx.dll) in very specific circumstances for me on shader compilation when using UHD resolution + HDR + Frame Gen + nVidia overlay turned on with filters active (only when all those are active - though I've not exhaustively tested if Frame Gen is necessary - it shouldn't really have much bearing at that point) - also happening on systems without Intel CPUs so probably not the 13th/14th gen issue.

Bit of a fail and if you try and manually added the _exe for Rebirth it does not work still. You can grab latest DLL (310.2.1?) and force preset K using nvidia profile inspector :p

I’m well out of the game re: the Nvidia app… is it worth having? I’ve been using the control panel for all settings to date.
I refused to get Geforce experience and i only downloaded the new Geforce App yesterday because of the DLSS 4 release which the app is meant to replace old versions of DLSS to the latest but it seems like with anything now a days, it has bugs, problems etc. it will be worth it im sure but when i dont know.

I did however get to try the new Super Resolution on Indiana Jones and it looks very good.

The transformer model is fantastic. I was just testing it in PoE2. The old model with DLAA looks worse than the new model with DLSS Quality. I then compared the old Quality model to the new ones, at every level Transformer has more detail. However, Ultra Performance does look a bit smeary.

To me, the clear win is Transformer Balanced looks better in every way than CNN Quality. As Transformer Balanced has more FPS than CNN Quality and looks better, it's both a visual and performance upgrade. Obviously if you have extra performance to spare, you can use Transformer Quality which does look a bit better than Balanced.
