Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. **THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I tested it out in PoE 2 as well and the detail uplift from CNN quality to Transformer quality is quite incredible and there's barely any hit to FPS.

I’m well out of the game re: the Nvidia app… is it worth having? I’ve been using the control panel for all settings to date.
It is working well, when it does. They plan to remove control panel completely later this year, when they finish moving all settings to the App. Not much left now.

I wonder if this will work for Forza Horizon 5, I changed the game to use the latest dll file a couple of times, but on launch the game keeps changing it back to the original.

Will have to give this new method a go, but I suspect if the game detects a non-original file it will just change it back.

Edit...seems to be sticking now. Happy days.

There's a new DLSS. FG and RR out!

DLSS 310.2.1 and FG/RR 310.2

Noticed it in DLSS Swapper.

Not sure if posted already, but For those of us that like cocking about and testing all this stuff, there's a v simple regedit tweak you can do that confirms which version of DLSS you're using, and which preset, onscreen in the games you're playing. It also works in Cyberpunk to show if Transformer or CNN is active.

It shows the info in the bottom left of your screen once the game is up and running properly (doesn't show in loading menus etc)

Open regedit then go to...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore
right-click on the right-hand panel and create a new DWORD (32-bit) Value called ShowDlssIndicator. Set the value of this to 1024 in decimal and then close regedit.

You can still have NVApp installed just default the game settings there and then hide the game so NVApp doesn't apply any changes to them and the mewthod above takes priority. BVApp is still needed for game recording etc.

Fiddled about in a couple of games, it does seem to be a pretty good bump in quality in terms of visual clarity. Quality mode looks really nice, POE2 I was flicking back and forth between that and DLAA and the only difference I could see was some slight noise on things giving off light/bloom, all it took to fix was to reduce the sharpness slider by a few %. RDR2 looked miles better, 40K Darktide and Returnal again both looked really sharp and clean. Performance mode even still looks good, but running at 1440p isn't enough for some of the volumetric effects so they start looking super blurry/low res at that point. I think because the rest of the image is still pretty good it actually makes them stand out a little more, maybe those at 4k might fare better if they have a better base resolution to work from?

Performance hit seems to be around 7-10% for me, but I am on old hardware now with the 2080ti so it was to be expected. Dropping down to balanced looks to place me right around what I was getting before running Quality, with performance then giving me a 10% net boost, but will obviously have to tweak things depending on the game.

How do u disable the auto optimization bs? It's being applied to everything ffs.

Noticed game settings not saving and now I see why. Wtf nvidia?!

I'm not at the main PC right now, but I recall that it's in 'settings' tab, there's a option something like 'don't automatically optimise games'.
It's not on the graphics tab, confusingly enough.

Thanks, also had to manually to though every get in hit revert to be able to manually change anything. Nice feature.. :/

Been using the new app for a long time but for some reason now it can't read most of my settings for installed games. Reads some but not others which is weird, tried removing the nvidia app and reinstalling it, cleaning every trace of it and going as far as to run DDU and using an uninstall program to make sure every registry trace is gone, still the app can't find some game settings to optimise.

I never use the optimise feature anyway but it would be nice if it worked properly. Just have to assume it's nvidias fault as this seems to be a common problem when searching online.

I dont know if anyone plays delta force but its taken a performance hit due to Rebar - need to get Nvidia profile inspector and disable it and you have your performance back :)

Yeh it's in the open issues above so Nvidia are aware..

One of many issues lol :D
