The verdict is DX is only a bottleneck for AMD as their too lazy to optimise the drivers for it

They have, hence why the 7970 went form struggling to pull away from the 580/670 to pulling ahead of the 680 after a few driver updates.

I have asked on the Geforce forum and asked on twitter but nVidia are not fans of giving dates, in case they can't keep it (saves a lot of backlash I guess). I do hope not too long though.

I would still keep my feet firmly on the ground and remember that a fair bit of marketing goes on but still, those slides are impressive and beating Mantle by even a small percentage in Thief is testament to the gains that we can see.

I am sure I read they did but will check again. I would hate to mislead myself, let alone other people

If this is a magic dx11 switch then it should speed up AMD cards as well.

I can only find "In the upcoming driver", so might not be the next driver but nVidia are not ones to take forever to release, so shouldn't be too long away
