So will games default to the new version of dlss 4 or do we have to use the nvapp to override it per game?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
nvapp
Is a waste of time. Hardly anything supported. I did it all manually.

So this is very confusing. I would have thought the game devs would do the switch in DLSS version / preset.
Nope. Some do. But even then it is not latest sometimes.
Just do it manually.
How do you do it manually?

I have the same issue, and have also done the DDU process. I only really used the section to compare optimal with my own settings, just to see if I could up anything.Been using the new app for a long time but for some reason now it can't read most of my settings for installed games. Reads some but not others which is weird, tried removing the nvidia app and reinstalling it, cleaning every trace of it and going as far as to run DDU and using an uninstall program to make sure every registry trace is gone, still the app can't find some game settings to optimise.
I never use the optimise feature anyway but it would be nice if it worked properly. Just have to assume it's nvidias fault as this seems to be a common problem when searching online.

Yup, maybe in a year or two NVApp might be worthwhile, maybe.
Dont you need to use the app though for ray reconstruction and MFG?
I also only downloaded it on the 30th when DLSS 4 came out and yeah the support seems crap.. I have Stalker 2 through the game pass and i can't use the app to switch it to DLSS 4, the game is detected but the 'driver settings' where you see DLSS Override is just a blank space.
I thought it might have been a game pass issue but Starfield and Indiana Jones works fine
Tried the nvidia app it's rubbish ill stick with the old controller panel ..
I did the re-install of the app, but no luck with Stalker 2 still. I have no idea why as everything else is fine.I had issues with the app as well at first... The same issues that are being listed here.
After uninstalling the app and doing a fresh install it works as it should. The games which were showing as unsupported are now supported, like Stalker 2.
Just installing the app over an existing install did nothing, it was only after completely removing it and installing it again that it worked.
