**The OcUK Benchmarks thread!**

Well ill stick to what ive done previously and that time demo benchmark run as its a consistent method. :)

I don't understand - the combat is never going to be the same so a minimal difference in the start of the benchmark seems superficial compared to this...

It's all good though. We didn't start the thread for scientific comparisons so whatever you want to put up is fine although it does help if everyone is doing (roughly) the same thing.

I checked my mails and there's nothing in there - did you reply to the overclockers email address rather than my own? :p

I can either copy the time demo exactly, or i run it from the start of the level (when the music starts) and end it the same time as the time demo, nothing in between as i want to keep my results consistent.

Strange upon closer inspection it appears i sent the email to [email protected] :D. Re-sent.

I just did a run from the time the music starts (in the LAV) and ended after killing the RPG and all the enemy, to the point of returning to the wounded soldier. This is my SLI run:

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
64132, 375978, 87, 201, 170.574

It improves my averages by 10fps :)

Looking at my scores it made mine worse. :D

I think i was getting around 78 fps at the start, which dropped down to 60-68 when i get out of the truck.

Its not important though, its just an easy place to start as you know when that music starts you hit f9.(or whatever your fraps benchmark button is :p)

i dread to think which part of your anatomy you stick in bee hives

It was from when I was a young boy and played football and my hair was a little out of control and apparently according to my mates who ribbed me for it, looked like a beehive. So when a cross game in there were cries of "stick ya beehive on it!". :)

Had the same email address from then - so around 12-13 years now :)

Is that compared to beginning at the start and beginning just before the combat though? If so, makes sense. There's some lowish FPS areas from the beginning of the level before you get to the combat.

Gregs is LAV to combat vs music at the beginning to combat.
