**The OcUK Benchmarks thread!**

Nice one MyBrains. If anyone else with a 670/660ti wants to do the run, I will add the scores. Just add the fraps results here showing the min/avg/max. Remember all settings on Ultra and exit the Lav, press F11, kill the terrorists, clear the RPGs and more terrorists, return to the wounded soldier (blue marker) and finally press F11 again.

BF3 Operation Swordbreaker done.

All maxed out 4xMSAA @ 1080p.

Sapphire 7950 @ 1150/1650 & 2700K @ 4.6GHz & Vengeance RAM @ 8-8-8-24-2T

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
30859, 338078, 64, 173, 91.278

I'm pretty pleased with that result as i have never ran my card that high before in BF3.. usually run @ 1100/1600. Tried 1200 core but started to see artifacts.

these new drivers are freakin awesome! :D

That is very close to my results, nicely done brosef stalin.

I might try a run with my RAM overclocked to 1866MHz just to see if theres a difference.. (forgot to say RAM was @ 1600 on that run). Just something i'm curious about more than anything else :)

And yea the gap to 7970 really is getting smaller now.

Some perfect memory settings for you to try. :)

1719 for 330gb of bandwidth.
1823 for 350gb of bandwidth.
1927 for 370gb of bandwidth.

Some games/benchmarks benefit more from a memory clock then a core clock, for example Heaven likes silly memory clocks while 3dmark11 likes large core clocks.

Will be updating as soon as i get to my machine today :)

I have problems going higher than 1675 and with 1.687v needed for that i just dare not go any higher on the voltage. My run on 3DMark11 at 1200 Core made it so i couldnt run 1675 on the memory anymore. I got freeze ups and those damn lines down the screen.

I get 60fps with settings maxxed on all my games with only 1500mhz on the mem clock?! What benefits are there of going so high Mr Matt?

Improved minimum/average fps in games that use heavy MSAA like battlefield 3, sleeping dogs extreme (SSAA) etc.

I agree though, its no longer really needed with these drivers.

However i think you should at least use 1563 on the memory, that will net you exactly 300gb of memory bandwidth btw. :D

Yes, i like my precise numbers. God bless gpu-z.

I normally run at 1150mhz core / 1650mhz mem (stock volts, -20LI power so it downclocks when not stressed), but since the idle bug i've let the card have it's own way at 1500mhz (so it downclocks at idle) and it seems happy :p

Ahh i can understand that.

Did you see my post earlier? THe idle clock bug is caused by DVI it seems, i can make it go away by using HDMI. Sadly HDMI looks like dung on my monitor.

Think that is correct?

Cheers :) I really wasnt expecting those results considering my last single player runs that i did on 'Going Hunting' with previous drivers.

@gregster.. looks fine to me and i noticed u fixed the 7850 results on Cat 12.11 too :)

Good job mate.

Going Hunting is the best one for consistency as you have almost no interaction with the game play for the first few minuts.

The gtx680 results are a bit suspect I feel. There is a 50 percent difference between the 2 and no where near that in clock speeds. Then when you look at the crossfire v sli results the 7970's come out on top when they in single card results are around 15 percent slower. I doubt nvidias sli scaling is that far behind amds.

I am in no way pointing the finger here just pointing out they look off a bit.

Fair point there. The low 680 is stock and mine is with a big OC. I take your comments on board and appreciate the finger being pointed. I shant bother with any more results.

A lot of variables in SwordBreaker, its very easy to get quite unintentionally different results with each run even if you are trying to be as consistent as possible, i have had runs of Min FPS @ 38 and then 45 on the next run, the averages are just as up and down to.

Swordbreaker is still a good way to bench as it offers a full range of stresses on the GPU and CPU.

But for consistency i swear by Going Hunting benched in the way i YouTube linked, its the same FPS bar 1% or even less every time.

I'm going to do a run of it at 1200 / 1500, follow me if you like.

Gregster I am not pointing the finger. Yes there's only 2 gtx680's and you are one what I meant by not pointing the finger is I don't think anyone is posting false results on purpose. I also think your doing a good job in this thread. You asked if the results looked right and I gave you opinion and an honest one with reasons.
