**The OcUK Benchmarks thread!**

you seriously get 6fps more minimum than PGI @ 1325 on the same drivers? I am not questioning you, just making sure that is correct :)

Edited the post with the newer charts for BF3 Swordbreaker.

I did yes, before than run i got even higher. Core overclock is not important in bf3 any more such is the improvement of these drivers. :)

It can dip below 60fps during the most extreme moments but i didnt see it during my two runs.

I also tested Armoured Kill, russian base first flag G. Looking at F dropped my fps to 46 on 12.9, now 70+ at the same spot.

Ltmatts above test is from an online bench, its entirely possible the benched points didn't see as much heavy action as you do with the exploding cars etc... in swordbreaker (what I used). My averages are near a good 10 fps higher.

Graph looks great.

If I get time later today I'll try do some online runs at 1325, need to stop falling asleep and re-mod my drivers for 120hz, back on the 'normal' bios on my card now too, so any stock benches will be done at 'ghz' speeds of 1070/1400.

Its hard to produce consistent results tbh as you can never account for what will happen.

Its now rare to see fps dip below 60, which is something i never though id say for AMD in this game.

Consistency is the reason we are using swordbreaker :)

It is a difficult game to bench though, such a shame we don't have a real benchmark suite for the Frostbite 2 engine.

i5 2500K @ 4.7ghz
7979 @ 1219/1875 - 360Gb of memory bandwidth Drool.

Operation Sword Breaker - Started from the music, copied Guru 3d time demo, used the cover but didn't hide to boost fps. Stopped same time as the video, when he screams RPG! This is the same as ive always done from the very start.

Weapon used - The second weapon with a high powered scope, dont know the name, one shot, headshot kills, like a boss. :D

2012-10-27 16:19:25 - bf3
Frames: 28600 - Time: 304452ms - Avg: 93.939 - Min: 72 - Max: 150

EDIT

Greg you've included my multiplay bench in the single player bench lol.

I have edited the original post with the new updates. My frames have incresed but this could be because I was on the 304 drivers and now I am on the 306.

Its impossible to get fully accurate results as slightly different things happen each time, plus we all probably do slightly different things at different times which could make a (slight) difference.

Such a shame there is no specific benchmark run so we can compare results more accurately.

The only thing i can say is, AMD's performance has improved beyond reasonable doubt in this game with these drivers.

Yep. The only true way is to have a robot play the game for us. I am impressed with the new drivers you guys have and about time. I will be watching closely when the 9XX/9XXX is released. Could I drop my 3D and go 'Team Red' ?

If Nvidia keep gimping features on their cards like votlage etc you'll have no choice :o

Wow, thanks Owen :) Tri-screen portrait??

I'll get the OP updated later today as I FINALLY have some time off work :D

Great results owen thanks for sharing.

How much more can they get from GCN?

I don't know for sure but i feel like there is more coming.

Fantastic work oweneades. This is what we want to see :)

Thanks chaps.

:)

I need to work on why TDU2 is showing reduced performance as it the game I am currently playing (got back to it after a hiatus as it was a buggy mess on launch). Unfortunately it is still a buggy mess that randomly crashes.
