**The OcUK Benchmarks thread!**

Where possible a in game benchmark is always ideal for consistency.

That's why i picked sleeping dogs and Dirt, i have AVP as well so ill add that to my list along with bf3.

I copied this time demo exactly in mine. :)

Problem with that one I found is that it doesn't include the opening bit which is actually fairly stressful on the PC.

Also, he hides in the garage in the gun fight staying pretty static. I move around outside when I ran mine.

There's no right way to do it but I found this to be more stressful and as a result more representative. I'll FRAPS it.

I started the bench on Operation Sword breaker from opening the Gate to cross the road (same as video) and I also ran about outside near the exploding cars. I am very impressed with how much of a difference a good overclock makes in this game. I expected a few frames but it is massive all over. Same run all 4 times and the same with AvP demo. I started it on the first egg and ended it as the face hugger came out of the grate.

I guess something is wrong with my dirt humbug??

Don't know? What i do know is 12.8 is 10 FPS faster than 12.9 on my card, there is a thread around here somewhere about it.... did you have Advanced Lighting on?

I'll make a youtube of my bench :)

Thanks Matt. You just click in game 1 box and change it to your game and then add the min, avg, max in the next 3 boxes (where I put 10/20/30). Do the same for the next boxes down and if you need to add more or less games, double click on the chart and you will see a blue box go around the game names and fps in excel (not the chart) now stretch or shring to the desired boxes required.

Ah i meant the bit at the top and bottom for putting in system specs but i think i figured it out anyway.

Results incoming shortly!

Here.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTUSGFk0OHg&feature=youtu.be Graphics setting, Benching and result at the end, all there.
:)

Its down to 83 because of the FPS drops in Video recording, but still 30 FPS higher than what you got.

Something is definitely wrong at your end.

Edit, ah... if you used Ultra Preset and didn't disable anything Advanced Lighting my have been on, run it again but make sure to turn it off.

Great thread guys, good work.

Would it be an idea to set cpu clocks at certain speeds to give an idea of the difference it will make.
Say for instance 4.2ghz which should be achievable by all.
I5 2500k
I5 3570k
I7 2600k
I7 3770k
SBe 3820
SBe 3930

Then all gfx set to 1000mhz core and 6000mhz, or maybe what would be better is to set each gpu to the reference spec.

Then where overclocked scores are submitted of multiple instances of each model, 680,7970 etc, could an average percentage be worked over stock clocks to give a rough idea of potential oc.
