Is it a friend of the family. Is it someone they both know well and trust.

Context really matters, and the people who are interacting with each other and how they are interacting. But texting another person all day long that is the opposite sex is cringe when you have a partner. Unless, the partner is ok with it. Many types of relationships exist and work.

In many cases, sure, I am saying that on a basic level. I'm not saying be controlling either. If you'd be fine with another person sniffing around your partner then that's fine. It's a choice.

Me and our OH have friends of the opposite sex who we text.

But then we're adults who trust each other.

I guess if you're threatened by everything and not grown up emotionally I can understand this may be a confusing concept.

Considering, I trusted my Son Mother explicitly over a 17 years relationship and didn't feel threatened says a lot and she liked both men and women. Water under the bridge that and never thought she ever cheated because she said what she thought outright being an adult and open about anything.

Be Methodical and Logical. Kids will be fine. Tougher than what you think.

Possession's except your own like PC etc. leave them. what use is arguing over things that are old like settee's and Microwaves that deprives young ens. Not their fault.

Its really easy for me to say do this and do that, but its not my life.

I think you know what needs doing, though. Self preservation.
