Ahh finally my insect repellant arrived :D
50% DEET and a scary amount of warnings about how it's toxic and not to be inhaled or swallowed :eek:

And having tested the insect repellant....it stinks :o
Hope it's not quite as noticeable in an open space :eek:
 
Reminds me, I still don't have any insect repellant. I'll do a shopping trip later today or maybe tomorrow morning to pick up what's left (must make a list :eek: )

Just about packed the camping gear bag (used a big holdall) - tent, airbed, pump, mallet, 2x pillows, waterproof jacket and trousers. Retrieved the chair and sleeping bag. Progress (and two days earlier than normal for me). :)

Can't you just open the bag and check all the contents are there. Make sure you remember how it came out of the bag so you can put it back in. :)
 
Its best to set a tent up properly to check for rips/tears, especially on the seams. Ideally you should also give it a good hosing to make doubly sure :)

Not sure if my Mum would like me hosing down a tent indoors :p
